I loved the hotel’s wonderful location—it’s surrounded by vineyards and overlooks a lake and mountains, offering a peaceful escape from the city’s noise. The rooms were extremely spacious, beautifully designed in a modern style with calm, soothing colors. The bathroom was also large and neatly organized.

Castel Sallegg is a spectacular property with its own winery (excellent wines!), and has a sort of Hapsburg air of sophistication to it… starting with the spectacular family trees of the owners which go back to European royalty of the 1700s. The property oozes sophistication and style.. we stayed in the perfectly appointed junior suite with a massive terrace and sweeping views of the gorgeous landscape.. vineyards, lake, mountain, alpine villages. The rooms are exceptionally tastefully decorated with Italian flair and the kinds of thoughtful touches which distinguish a good hotel from an excellent one! Breakfast is also just spectacular… the first morning we ate in the cosy converted wine cellar (it was raining outside) but the next morning they set up a beautiful arrangement on the terrace… complete with comfy blankets in case anyone felt a little chilly! The host Silvia could not have been more lovely and gave us fantastic recommendations for gyms and an amazing dinner (Panholzer Restaurant was incredible!). Overall an exceptional experience… we will be back!!

Spacious room & bathroom with views of Lago di Caldero and surrounding mountains. Adequate breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Guests are able to use facilities free of charge at sister hotel located right at the lake. Visitor card is included and allows for free rides on busses and Mendel Funicular. Great pool behind house, quiet with virtually nobody there.

Staff - Vera and Andreas were amazing!!! At first you might get the impression they are working in the reception. Shortly you understand, they are both working around the clock with an eager to make your vacation a pleasent one. They would recommend you about attractions in the area, hiking trails, resturants, shopping, and even a massage. They will explain you about wines in the hotel's winery and work with the kitchen staff on your breakfast. The hospitality we got was exceptional!!! Breakfast - was wonderful. So many options to choose from. All fresh and great quality. Room - there are several options to choose from. We got a suite which had 2 balconies. Very large room, with a small kitchen and all the required supplies. So clean and well maintained, as if the place was opened last week. There is also an indoor parking place. Other facilites - lovely indoor swimming pool and sauna. e-bike and scotters - available for the guests. We took the ebikes for a day around the lake nearby. Bikes are well maintailed. The place and location are a real gem - If you are planning a vacation in Northern Italy, that's your place!

For once a different fresh hotel concept. The breakfast was really great and almost all of the products were locally sourced from the region. Very high quality renovated rooms. The hotel is located on Lake Caldaro but on the quiet non-touristy side. The private lake property is ideal for relaxing and reading. This boutique hotel accommodates up to 24 guests so you always feel like the staff has your full attention. The hotel owners treat you like family. I highly highly recommend.

It is a perfect hotel! We had the Junior Suit, good at its size with balcony facing the valley and lake - great comfort and vert clean. Hotel facilities are great, adult's sauna, family sauna, family pool, indoor pool, and adults' floor and pool. And... very important, the hotel has its lovely privet lake beach with its facilities. Dinner is delicious, with 5-6 gourmet dishes. The entire hotel stuff was very friendly and utmost helpful.

The location of the hotel was perfect, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Isabella. The breakfast was outstanding and could be enjoyed outside or inside. The room and large bathroom appeared to be newly renovated with impeccable taste. An excellent hotel!

We just visited small central, old town part of Caldaro and...

We just visited small central, old town part of Caldaro and it was nice for one/two evenings. We mostly travelled outside the Caldaro just having hotel in that town. Surrounding vineyards are lovely to visit and enjoy vine tasting. Great roads for motorbike or bike trips.

Thanks to the wonderful weather during our stay in Termeno, we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The sunny days made it perfect for exploring the vineyards, relaxing outdoors, and taking in the stunning views — it truly made our visit even more enjoyable.

Nice and friendly.

Nice and friendly. Much more German than Italian, which mainly is reflected on the selection of food available. Very nice area for starting walking and trekking in the mountains. Beautiful surroundings.

Nice ancient town in middle of Alto Adige wine region.

Nice ancient town in middle of Alto Adige wine region. Home of Gewurztraminer. In one side of town vineyards an apple orchards, in other side woods and mountains. Ideal for active holidays but also for wine and food lovers.
