- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 99 reviewsThe beauty of this area was a gift. The sunsets, flowers and castle across the lake was definitely enjoyed by our family of four! While we could not walk to the lake - as it is far away - you can see its beauty in the distance. The location is perfect for a quiet space to escape the noise and business of nearby Rome. The owners were so kind and gracious and even provided us with fresh olive oil, coffee and sugar and a wealth of information regarding transit and nearby activities. They communicated within minutes. We had exceptional wifi and cell service the entire stay and the house was spotless. The serene views, spaciousness of the cottage and the beautiful people who run this establishment made it 10/10. We ate at a delicious restaurant, which is near the Vigna de Valle train station, twice! The food at @TrattoriaLeonedal1937 was the best we had on our trip and the owners were exceptional, kind and lovely! The train is 1/2 a mile away which takes you into Rome and the nearby town of Bracciano. Visit Bracciano's cobblestone streets and towering castle - it is quite charming! All in all, Agriturismo Fontelupo was a wonderful experience and we hope to visit this beautiful area again one day!Guest review byPaigeUnited States
- From $113.75 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 362 reviewsEverything excellent, more than expected. It's hard to describe the good service by Luca. Not just top, but he gives service with passion and love. Never met a kinder person than him. Large area for the kids to play including football posts, table soccer, a swing etc. There is also a small farm. Just 7 minutes away from the Lake. It's the perfect place to find peace. 😊 Luca 100 out of 10.Guest review byRobertMalta

It’s a lovely medieval town close to a large lake that has other equally pretty towns worth a visit. The lake is very quiet out of season and in the summer is probably busy with boats and other traffic. Restaurants in Bracciano are reasonable and served good food for a variety of tastes. Nearby national park is worth visiting and offers forest walks and beautiful views.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

A hidden Gem, off the beaten track for most tourists from outside Italy. Trevignano is less than an hour from Rome's international airport so it makes for a great spot to spend the last few days of an Italian adventure. The area has a vibrant, happy vibe about it as well as being surrounded by historical Roman ruins so relax or explore.Guest review byMikeAustralia - 8.0
The lake and views are fabulous.
The lake and views are fabulous. The village is unspoiled by excessive tourism and many of the restaurants seem to be mostly visited by Italians. The transport infrastructure is poor. Public transport is difficult to navigate and the bus and train schedules are unclear and confusing. There’s nit a lot ti see apart from the lake. The Sunday ferry was cancelled and there is no other way to travel on the lake.Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Come to Cesano if you want to experience peaceful and serene traditional Roman countryside. We stayed at the excellent Il Casale Di Gardenia. It is very peaceful, beautiful, and family traditional building. Manfredi runs a first class b&b. He gave great suggestions, helped us with translations, excellent chef, and very delightful personality. We suggest a car to get from countryside to town if you are opposed to long walks. The store and shopkeepers are very helpful and kind in Cesano. Very good coffee bars. This is a very low key, not fancy, working class/country town. If you want to experience true Italian living this is a very nice place to start.Guest review bygeorgeItaly - 10.0
A nice place to explore a real Italian lifestyle.
A nice place to explore a real Italian lifestyle. It's not far from Rome. You can spend all day in Rome, but in the evening you can enjoy a tasty food in small pizzerias and restaurants of this wonderful town far away from crowds of tourists.Guest review byBelaitsBelarus - 10.0

Bracciano is vey good for a day trip from Rome, to visit the Orsini-Odescalchi Castle inside: furniture (I love the ‘baldachino’ beds), guns and armors, and for photos of the lake and medieval town from the terraces. In the evening there’s a special lighting for a picture of the Castle. There are very good restaurants around the castle like the Ristorantino and Trattoria del Castello.Guest review byVaniaUnited States - 10.0
We absolutely loved this town.
We absolutely loved this town. It was our favorite one on Lake Bracciano. September weather was perfect to eat out at the many restaurants (all good). The old historic district was absolutely amazing and the old piazza has a great cafe and Osteria next door. Food everywhere was amazing. People for most part were very friendly. Just smile and tell them how much you love Trevignano……which is easy to do. We WILL be back. God willing!Guest review bylynnUnited States - 10.0

Anguillara is a very beautiful place and a welcome respite from the “madness” in Rome. I would highly recommend the boat trip around the lake that only operates in summer. Great value for 5 euros. We didn’t have a car and at times it was difficult to find out accurate times for the buses and the boat across the lake. The tourist information booth was open only in the afternoons.Guest review byHelenItaly - 8.0

An old Italian town with a castle overseeing a lake with reasonably priced and good Italian food and gelato. The medieval castle Castello Orsini-Odescalchi is well preserved. From sightseeing point of view and for food, it would have been enough for 2 nights.Guest review byChung Sze FoniaGermany
