Great breakfast, the owners were very welcoming, went out of their way to prepare breakfast before the standard hours, so we can eat before we catch an early train. Very quiet, although it was in a busy street. We loved our 2 nights stay in the junior suite.

What sets this hotel apart are its amenities. With 11 padel courts, both indoor and outdoor, it’s a dream for sports lovers. The pool was equally impressive—clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxation. The breakfast was excellent, offering beverages, fresh fruits, pastries, and made-to-order options.
They offered us a free ride to the nearby train station, which was a thoughtful extra that made local travel effortless.
In short, Como Hills Hotel goes above and beyond in every way, whether you're here for leisure, sports, or a mix of both. I couldn’t recommend it more and can’t wait to return.

SpainEverything was perfect, I can't imagine a better place to stay while visiting Lake Como! Locanda Alberti is in the heart of the beautiful town of Mandello del Lario right next to the water/ferry station and very close to the train station. The town was perfect for visiting Lake Como because even though it has just as much charm as the more popular towns on the Lake, it was not touristy, which to me made it better than the other towns because it felt like a hidden gem with its beauty and family-friendly vibe. Our room was very cozy with a beautiful view of the lake, and all of the employees were extremely friendly and helpful in everything. Cannot recommend it enough, will definitely stay here again!

A Haven of Alpine Tranquillity
Surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Alps, Lake Como is a long, thin lake in the shape of an inverse ‘Y’. At its south-west corner is the beautiful town that it’s named after – Como. A short train ride from Milan, this is the starting point for several Lake Como cruises. If you take the funicular railway up to Brunate you get magnificent views of the lake and mountains, towards Switzerland just to the west.
The laidback and sophisticated way of life makes Como Lake popular with celebrities and several have homes in exclusive Bellagio, which is almost entirely surrounded by water. The views here are breathtaking, so it’s easy to see why of all the Lake Como hotels, Bellagio has the greatest concentration.
Just across the water are Lenno, Tremezzo and Menaggio, home to many exclusive lakefront hotels, many with swimming pools. You can actually swim in some parts of the lake, and the best beaches are found in the area near Gravedona in the north. Fanning out around a small harbour, this town offers some of the best Lake Como watersports.

We loved absolutely everything about this hotel! The location was perfect (directly next to the bus stop, close to the ferry, 20 minutes from Bellagio…), the restaurant was INCREDIBLE (the food and drinks were delicious and the staff friendly), the breakfast was possibly the best hotel breakfast we’ve had, the amenities were so fun for the kids (we swam, kayaking, jumped on the trampoline, played in the floating inflatable island, lounged by the water, the room was. CLEAN and perfect for the 4 of us (large bed and 2 single), the washroom was extremely well stocked with everything from shampoo and conditioners to intimate wash for the bidet, the view was outstanding, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The receptionist has to be one of the friendliest and most helpful receptionists I’ve dealt with in all my travels (and that is saying a LOT)!! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely breathtaking. I chose this place to celebrate my honeymoon. The service was extremely good. Everyone was very welcoming and hospitable. The facilities are of the highest quality. Not much to do in the city, but also not as busy as the neighboring Como, but with pretty much the same (if not better) scenic views and easy access to mountains for hiking and climbing.

Pretty little lake side town across lake from Lecco. Easy walk of 25 mins to Lecco centre with plenty of local restaurants and supermarkets/marts within walking distance. Free parking around area as well if happy to walk a bit to where you are staying if in apartment vs hotel

It's a cute town with some lovely restaurants and easy enough to walk around for someone of average fitness. However if your purpose is to explore most of Lake Como, you will be limited to the slow ferry up to Bellagio / Varenna / Menaggio which takes 2-3hours. We had originally booked to stay in Varenna but cancelled due to works on the train line to get there. It still would have been a better option, or just staying in Como town to access the fast ferry. Most of the private boat tours also pick up from Como or from the "Golden Triangle" of the lake.

Ate at Per Bacca, and Risorante El Logasc, very good food and service. I'd highly recommend eating here
Very easy to travel to other places, by car, train or bus

It’s a small town catering mainly to locals with few amenities but well connected transport links. Supermarket was only open half days.
Most of the eateries were fast food/cheap. But there is a couple of nicer restaurants. Little else to do here. There is a busy road through the town. Short lakeside path is nice.

Usually the train journey from Milan is direct to Varenna, although some works on the line meant changing to a bus for part of the journey on the way back.
Varenna is lovely and the best place to stay in the central area.

Bellano is one of the smaller towns of Lake Como and has a nice marina and promenade alongside the wharf. It can't be compared with the bigger towns of Bellagio or Menaggio which are more beautiful and scenic. But Bellano is quite nice too with a neat town centre with both indoor and outdoor eating places. It is also less crowded as compared to some of the bigger towns which gives it a laid back ambience.
Logistics are however not so great. Ferry frequency for going to other towns is low which means sometime you have to catch a ferry at an inconvenient time. Inside Bellano public transport is practically non existent and taxis are not available for love or money which is perhaps true for other towns of Lake Como as well. There don't seem to be many top class hotels in Bellano. We stayed at the Villa Reverie Boutique hotel which was situated right on the lake side and was about 1 km from the town centre. We liked the hotel and would recommend it strongly despite its high price point for a 3 star hotel.

we enjoyed our vacation in the appartmment close to the historic lake and the walk at the shores of lake como, marvellous experience. People are kind and extremely helpful, 2 thumbs up for a perfect stay in the City of Motors!! (home of moto Guzzi, great motorcycle brand, continous production of motorcycles for over 100 y!!)
