- From $212.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 182 reviewsOur stay at La Culla del Lago was simply perfect. The panoramic lake view is stunning—peaceful, calming, and the ideal backdrop for a relaxing getaway. What truly sets this place apart is the incredible hospitality. The owners are hands-on and personally involved in every aspect of the service. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel right at home. The restaurant is outstanding—perfect for a refined dinner experience, and in the morning, we enjoyed breakfast with a breathtaking sunrise over the lake. Every meal felt special, and the setting made it even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic hospitality, exceptional food, and unforgettable views.Guest review byTumaliuanUnited States

Ciampino is a lovely typical Italian town, it’s not very touristy but the locals etc still make you very welcome. It is also excellent if your flying to Ciampino airport it’s literally about 9 minutes on the bus (Airport to the town). If you were stuck for transport from the airport to the hotel I’m sure you could walk it in about 20-25 minutes 😁.Guest review byScottUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Worth a visit.
Worth a visit. I go for work often, its a nice enough place to visit but the public transport offering is wholly inadequate other than the train to Rome. It would be a nice change to visit for a day from Rome with direct train takes 25 mins and costs less than 2 euros. Its in the countryside high up so maybe a bit cooler in summer, a nice park and plenty of greenery, cheaper than Rome and some great food and wine too, but staying in Frascati with a view to visit the surrounding area without a car is going to be impossible. Either you need a car or you limit your stay to Frascati itself. Be careful the last train back to Rome is around 22h30 otherwise its a taxi at 50 euros or more (if you can find one!)Guest review byRichardFrance - 6.0

Nothing special - it was a visit to my mum who is in a rest home. Vitit the pizzeria "the civette sul como'" it is good. Albano, a nice village, is very close, and it is a short drive to Castel Gandolfo (lake) and Tor Vaianica (beach)Guest review byMaurizio - 10.0
If you want peace, tranquility and the proximity to Rome,...
If you want peace, tranquility and the proximity to Rome, then this is your place. If you want to vacation like a Roman, then this is your spot. If you want to get off the beaten path and not be a tourist and open yourself to the possibilities of surrounding Rome, then this is a place to visit. Lovely, small hilltop town. Great restaurants reasonably priced, wonderful people and surroundings. Food, shops, and people make you want to return to this gem of a village again and again. See the Papal place and stop in to the church in the square. Do yourself a favor and give in to Castel Gandolfo and all it has to offer. You will be glad you did.Guest review byJON BONCIUnited States - 8.0
Very friendly host. Clean room and bathroom.
Very friendly host. Clean room and bathroom. Quiet neighborhood. Good food and grocery stores at walking distance. Close to Castel Gandolfo lake and sightseeing. Great place to stay if coming by car. Parking inside the premises. On the down side, WiFi was not very reliable.Guest review byArnaldoVenezuela - 4.0
The quiet.
The quiet. The house keepers the farm cat, we fed during our stay. Other guests very noisy when they arrived or went out, forgetting there were other guests staying. It might be an Italian thing to be noisy. The staff weren’t very welcoming upon our arrival and the internet only available at reception and out by the pool, not available in the room.Guest review byHelenAustralia - 10.0

Velletri is a cozy and a nice hilltop town . The people are friendly and helpful . The foods , gastromy, cafe are nice and cheap too ( in Europe) . We definitely strongly recommended Velletri. The visit is worthwhile and unforgettable.Guest review byYee - 6.0

It's a nice place to stay considering the cost and with good breakfast. It's a good place to stay after a long day travel. The bed was quite comfortable. Aircon was working fine. Except my room's (#210) shower drainage was plugged and water went down extremely slow. The location is not ideal but if you have a car and a GPS, you should be fine. It takes 45 min. from Collosseum to the hotel, 45 min. to the airport (FCO). There's nothing around the area, like shopping malls or attractions.Guest review byEdwardCanada - 10.0

Very nice local, well appointed accommodations. Excellent host, very good restaurants and lovely towns in the Castelli Romani region. Beautiful surroundings of Lake Albano and Nemi. Region very busy on weekends as many flock to area from Rome.Guest review byLouisCanada - 8.0

Beautiful area with easy transport links to Rome, Good local facilities with plenty of shops and supermarkets. Dining out was disappointing, the food was overpriced and not as good as I had previously enjoyed in Italy. For example, I was served an undercooked pizza and a risotto with scampi that arrived with only 1 scampi (second plate). This was in high season which also affected service, I almost left one restaurant without paying I had to wait so long for my bill.Guest review byPhilUnited Kingdom
