We were graciously upgraded from our glamping tents to a luxurious suite cabin, complete with a private hot tub and patio. This thoughtful gesture made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. The spa facilities were nothing short of magnificent. The Turkish baths, sauna, cold water bucket dip, and hot tub provided a rejuvenating experience that left us feeling refreshed and pampered. The restaurant, with its jaw-dropping views, served fresh and delicious food that tantalized our taste buds. Our waiter, Philippo, provided impeccable service, making us feel right at home. The dinner was magical, with the food, the view, and the service coming together to create an unforgettable experience. The staff, fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian, ensured a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, our stay at Sesta Terra was amazing, and I highly recommend this nature spa escape to anyone seeking a tranquil and luxurious retreat.

The staff were so friendly and helpful to us, including the daily shuttle service to Levanto town and train station. Our room was spacious, clean and just perfect for our visit. Loved the service. The manager was exceptionally helpful, friendly and so so accommodating. He made taxi reservations, dinner reservations to a fabulous restaurant he recommended - which by the way, was our favorite restaurant from our entire trip. He also printed out the train schedule and explained how it worked. The room was amazingly comfort, we got upgraded without even requesting an upgrade. The bed was really comfy. Very clean. Loved all the staff, the breakfast was included and was so delicious, so was the cappuccinos yum! I highly recommend this hotel, and will absolutely stay there again in the future.

Cliff-Hugging Beauty

One of Liguria’s most beautiful areas, the Cinque Terre are 5 UNESCO World Heritage-listed villages dramatically positioned on the Mediterranean coastline.

Each has a train station, but the most exhilarating way to visit the Cinque Terre is on foot. It’s not easy at times, but is definitely rewarding. The route starts (or finishes) at Riomaggiore, the southern-most village, home to a range of accommodation including a few Cinque Terre hotels on the beach.

The easy road between here and Manarola is called the Via dell’Amore, or Lovers’ Lane. Colourful Manarola houses hug the rocky cliffs overlooking the turquoise water below. The next village along is Corniglia, the only one not by the beach, but which offers panoramic views from its hilltop position.

Next is Vernazza, arguably the most picturesque of the 5, spread over a narrow promontory jutting into the sea and with a castle tower at its tip. Still very much a fishing village, it is centred around its small harbour and beach.

The longest beach is at Monterosso al Mare, the last town on the trail. Due to its location and easy access, it is home to what are possibly the best Cinque Terre hotels for families on Booking.com. However, whichever village you choose to stay in, you can expect wonderful views and fantastic food.

Loved being in Levanto! Easy access to Cinque Terre but away from the hoards of tourists. The property is right in the heart of Levants and the bikes they provide are an added benefit—try the ride through the old train tunnels to the next two towns. Close to the beach and lots of restaurants. Friendly, welcoming and very helpful staff.
