Absolutely everything was spectacular. First the views - just incredible. Staff was lovely, the facilities even more beautiful than pictured. We booked one of the tents and it was even better than I hoped with clear, gorgeous views and comfortable everything. Breakfast was generous and we loved that they offered shuttle service to the train station. We also rented bikes for a day which was a great way to get around and see things.

If you come by car, this is the perfect location. Free parking, leave the car in the garage, and visit CinqueTerre by public transport - starting with the bus that stops in front of the hotel. A Hidden Gem Near Cinque Terre – Highly Recommend! My sister and I stayed here for two nights during our trip to Cinque Terre, and we couldn’t have been happier. The place is beautiful, with just a few rooms, which gives it a cozy and peaceful vibe. The lady who manages it is incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming — she truly made our stay special. Our room had everything we needed and more. I don’t know how many stars this hotel officially has, but it felt like a five-star experience — even better than some luxury hotels I’ve stayed at in Las Vegas! Everything was spotlessly clean, stylish, and thoughtfully arranged. Breakfast was included, and the host sent us to a nearby café where we were served a lovely, café-style breakfast that we absolutely loved. It was such a nice local touch and added to the charm of the stay. The location is absolutely perfect — just a two-minute walk to the ferries going to Cinque Terre, and surrounded by charming coffee shops and restaurants. On the night we arrived, there was a local wine event happening right on the street — it was magical to stroll around and sample wine in such a lovely setting. Truly a fantastic stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

FAQs about hotels in Cinque Terre

Cliff-Hugging Beauty

One of Liguria’s most beautiful areas, the Cinque Terre are 5 UNESCO World Heritage-listed villages dramatically positioned on the Mediterranean coastline.

Each has a train station, but the most exhilarating way to visit the Cinque Terre is on foot. It’s not easy at times, but is definitely rewarding. The route starts (or finishes) at Riomaggiore, the southern-most village, home to a range of accommodation including a few Cinque Terre hotels on the beach.

The easy road between here and Manarola is called the Via dell’Amore, or Lovers’ Lane. Colourful Manarola houses hug the rocky cliffs overlooking the turquoise water below. The next village along is Corniglia, the only one not by the beach, but which offers panoramic views from its hilltop position.

Next is Vernazza, arguably the most picturesque of the 5, spread over a narrow promontory jutting into the sea and with a castle tower at its tip. Still very much a fishing village, it is centred around its small harbour and beach.

The longest beach is at Monterosso al Mare, the last town on the trail. Due to its location and easy access, it is home to what are possibly the best Cinque Terre hotels for families on Booking.com. However, whichever village you choose to stay in, you can expect wonderful views and fantastic food.

The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered something for everyone. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were able to use the hotel bikes for free and anytime we wanted. The bike path in Levanto along the coast was beautiful. The room was nice, but a little small for a family of three. (But who wants to stay inside when visiting the Cinque Terre?) The location of the hotel was excellent, close to everything. The train station was within 5 minutes walking distance. We would definitely come back!

La Spezia is an excellent little town to use as a home base when planning to travel to Cinque Terre, Portofino, and other close-by destinations. The train station is within walking distance and you will find one of the wonderful “Markets” taking place every Sunday where we found some great bargains on shoes, coats, other clothing, delicious homemade pastries cooked right there, and many knick knacks. Every Wednesday, there is also a strictly clothing and shoes Market going on as well. Fresh fruits, vegetables and fish Market also takes place in the same location as the Sunday market.

We loved the whole Cinque Terre region.

We loved the whole Cinque Terre region. Scorce di Mare had a wonderful location, right on the sea in Riomaggiori. Highlights of our Riomaggiore experience was the wonderful private wine tasting coordinated by Scorce di Mare that highlighted the CT wineries, walking from Rio to Manarola on the Via del Amore hiking trail on the way to the Nessun Dorma pesto making class we took(a highlight of our trip), getting gelato in Corniglia and the beautiful Riomaggiore sunsets! We loved our visit to the Cinque Terre region and our stay in Riomaggiore. One note to keep into consideration, there are many stairs that need to be navigated in Rio. So, if that is an issue, you should take that into consideration.

You will have a hard time finding a more perfect location than Casa Lella <3 The view to the sea and the boats and the hills directly outside the two big front windows, the staircase lifting you above streetlevel, the beach directly to your left and Carrefour directly to your right simply could not be any better. Inside you find everything you need and plenty of space.

Picturesque, relatively small and quiet compared to the other cinque Terre towns. Centrally located so I could begin day walks in both directions. Best not to carry heavy luggage up the hill from the train station (around 380 steps) - use the bus… only 1,50 Euros but expect to wait 15-30 mins at peak time. The walks to Vernazza and on to Monterosso, and also the walk to Manarola are magnificent, just be prepared for lots of steps.
