Took a trip to Camogli, San Fruttousso and Portofino with Get your guide and that was excellent. Walked through town to the cathedral and Christopher Columbus' house. The town itself has different things going on. Took a bus to the Staglieno cemetery, the statues are amazing and it is overwhelming.Guest review byRenateSouth Africa - 10.0

La Spezia is a lovely town with lots of good bars and restaurants. We based our selves here to travel to Cinque Terre by train and also to Port de Venere. I would recommend and like to visit againGuest review byEdelIreland - 2.0
Sanremo city itself is very disappointing.
Sanremo city itself is very disappointing. Streets and sea promenade are very dirty, stinky and overcrowded, sea is green, polluted, swimming caused allergies on my skin. The air in the city is extremely polluted as well: a lot of bikes and cars, very stressful. Food in the restaurants is not tasty, average, in some of them it is impossible to eat at all. I don't recommend to visit Sanremo to anyone, because it is waste of money, spoiled vacation, for a crazy big price.Guest review byKate - 8.0

Secluded private garden location just minutes from the beach and the Gigante statue in the new town, nestled under old growth trees in a light filled greenhouse glass addition to an historical building. Sun Light yet private. Equipped with dishwasher and washer/dryer(a bonus for travelers) and the lack of towels. Bring extra charging stations. Outlets are sparing in each room. Non the less, this one is a find. I'd return.Guest review byamandaUnited States - 8.0
A nice size town.
A nice size town. Easy access from the train station into town. Excellent coastal walk around to Portifino. Best place to swim Santa Margherita Ligure. A short walk from Rapallo. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from.Guest review byMonicaAustralia - 10.0
Levanto is the next town north of Cinque Terre.
Levanto is the next town north of Cinque Terre. The train that runs between the five towns, actually starts in Levanto so you can easily visit all the towns, and the trains also run to La Spezia where you can connect to many other parts of Italy. There are many restaurants, a fairly large beach, and you have many choices for hikes, walks, or rent a bike and ride through the tunnels. We were very glad we choose Levanto as the Cinque Terre towns were fairly crowded.Guest review byLesli BowersCanada - 10.0
It was not as hectic as some nearby villages.
It was not as hectic as some nearby villages. But had easy access to the Cinque Terre by the train pass. Beautiful & clean. Lively atmosphere in the evening. Prices were a bit more reasonable as well.Guest review byRussellAustralia - 10.0
Riomaggiore is a vibrant town.
Riomaggiore is a vibrant town. Loved being outside at night with the restaurant sounds and bars playing music. It felt safe to walk around on my own. Enjoyed the harbor view and proximity to boat rental and tours. Beach was nice and small and not too crowded. Ferry is right there, too. Highly recommend staying in Riomaggiore.Guest review bySusan CleereUnited States - 10.0

Very nice town with piazza and typical fishing village small streets. Has shopping and many restaurants. The beaches are very nice, mostly sandy with some pebbles at the shore. The water gets deep fast in 2-4 meters it is 1.5-2 meters deep with some waves.Guest review bypaulSwitzerland - 10.0
Lovely town with many shops, restaurants and plenty to do.
Lovely town with many shops, restaurants and plenty to do. The beach and the sea looked very inviting even in winter! Easy to walk around and we found it very easy to visit nearby towns using trains which are reasonably priced and comfortable. Not easy to park near the centre, but there are several car parks for a reasonable hourly rate.Guest review byClaudiaUnited Kingdom
