The family that runs their hotel is wonderful. They are very responsive, kind, and hospitable. The property was their family home and built at the turn of the century by their great-grandmother (I believe). If you're looking for an incredible value and an authentically Italian experience, look no further. They maintain their property with love and pride and everyone in town knows and respects them. Their recommendations for dinner were perfection. We look forward to returning!

Everything about the Hotel was Great ! I have stayed here before 1984-1987 when in Military, and again as Tourist in 2018 and 2024, Will Stay Again in 2027. The Staff all around was very Accommodating ! Any questions we had, they helped in every way. And was Fun sharing our Stories from over the Years. Thank you Emanuela And all The Staff !! Il Gabbiano was the first hotel on the island of La Maddalena, built in 1955. It offers beautiful views of the crystal clear sea and the islands of Caprera, Santo Stefano and Spargi.

This Hotel was a delight. From the minute we arrived we the staff were so welcoming. The room was small but very clean with a nice balcony overlooking the sea . In the morning we could watch the town come to life . Then the restaurant!! Incredible food and again the staff were outstanding. We have been traveling for a long time and this hotel is a favorite.
