Situated a short 30 min walk to Merano’s city center we enjoyed our walks into the city and the surrounding hillside. If I had to be critical I’d say the pool temp could have been 1 degree (C) warmer, the steam sauna could have been steamier and maybe add a cold room to the spa. There is a lot to do in Merano, rain or shine. Of course, there are the local & famous walkways, the mountain hikes, bike trails, and the Dolomites are nearby. A lovely little place with great amenities and activities for all. It is best known for it's hiking/walking paths, but it is also a bit of a mecca for cyclists. It's one of those villages that "gets" to you.
It's one of those villages that "gets" to you. The village itself has very narrow streets (thankfully, many are one way only as some only barely fit one car) but the surrounding area offers plenty of hiking trails and the local waterfall, which is rather impressive. Plus this is one of THE wine and fruit growing regions in Southern Tyrol so there are plenty of locally grown foods available and I highly recommend stopping at the many stalls in the area that sell those products.Guest review byArBe01157New Zealand - 10.0
