Our appartment owner gave us a map but they did not appear readily available , number of people asked us where they could get one. Take the green route and walk the full cit , really worth it. Descend into the sassi but do in the morning when cooler. Eat at burger and pale, divine ribs and wine only 4 euros a glass. The Matera Sassi history and Culture Walking tour was great at explaining how Matera developed and the chequered life of the people who have lived there.
