The hostess is a very nice and helpful lady. The room had beautiful mountain view. The hotel is in walking distance from La Verna monastery.

The location was perfect. Right at the end of the trail - The Way of St Frances. Breakfast and dinner were very good and someone was always there to make cappuccino or serve a glass of wine. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful!

Locanda dei Baroni is a welcoming old inn dating back to 1100. It is set right in the middle of the Casentino Forest National Park and opposite the Camaldoli Monastery.

We liked everything about the property. The staff was exceptional, especially Laura who went overboard to help us with all requests. She is a real asset to the property.

Breakfast was a typical Italian affair, local breads and pastries, ham, cheese, toast, and of course coffee. The hotel offers a excellent restaurant and would suggest to anyone staying there or passing through to stop.

Albergo Giardino was right along the Way of Saint Francis path, and a welcome sight, as I had been walking for five days and this was the end of my leg of the journey this year. The lunch and dinner meals (which are extra) were fantastic! I ate both meals, and they each cost only 20 Euro (and that included all the wine I could drink!). The breakfast was very nice. I also liked that it was only 100 feet from the bus stop (in the Market Square below).
