- From XOF 74,779 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.3Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 82 reviewsOk so we booked The Corvino resourt centrally to Monopoli so we could tour La Puglia on our motorcycles. In this respect its an ideal location but otherwise its a 15 minute drive to the old town centre of Monopoli. On the other hand Pongiana al Mare, Ostuno, Locorotunda, Alberobello, Lecce and Matera are all the nice idylic old towns easily accessible by driving from the Corvino. The old town of Monopoli is quite amazing with its imposing 'Duomo' cathedral and big square full of restaurants and brasseries, even a great Japanese restaurant there too offering great Sushi! The Via Garibaldi below this square is also adorned with boutique shops for shopping the known fashion names too. Its parking facilities are fantastic with 24/7 security guard watch which is exactly why we booked the Corvino as we wanted secure parking for our classic motorcycles! They, the Security staff, Ormando and the rest are very nice and helpful and we enjoyed talking to them as we went in and out of this resort, they even organised our taxies for us too!! The bedroom was a bit small but clean, bathroom was fine too if you don't mind hitting your elbows on the shower's glass doors as you shower ;) Unfortunately they gave us a room which was way too far away from the reception and restaurant in the resort. Conversely we were very close to the beach and their Lido, which in September was closed down!! Most of the facilities at the Corvino had closed down by now, no pizzeria too... this is endemic to Italy in general as after their 'ferroagusto' month long national holiday everything starts to close down anyway. The Lido Bar was supposed to be open but I think only short hours during the day. The in house restaurant served us Breakfast and dinner on a buffet self-service which was plentiful and the food was generally quite good too! The hotel Staff were very nice and courteous to us and Alessandro helped us in every way too.Guest review byRaymondMalta
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 98 reviewsThe territory is huge and very green. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are plenty of sunbeds and space at the beach, and the sea is crystal clear. Several heated pools with slides and a splash park were definitely great fun for the whole family. The buffet was not excessive and more focused on quality over quantity. The staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. The kids' club staff was especially wonderful! Very attentive, friendly, and competent. Always greeting the little ones by name, with a big smile and so much warmth.Guest review byNBItaly

Bari is an excellent city with a very special southern Italian charm and friendly locals. The Bari Vecchio is worth many visits - you will get lost but it doesn't matter as that way you find things you weren't looking for! We took the Bari Street Fod Walking Tour, the guide was very informative and introduced to splendid food as well as introducing us to the Vecchio area. The Panificio Fiore Bari's fresh and warm focaccia was the best I have ever tasted. Just eat it in the street. There will be a queue of locals which shows how good it isGuest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lecce was a surprise!
Lecce was a surprise! I didn't expect to enjoy the city as much as I did. I've travelled a great deal in northern Italy, but Lecce was a really comfortable, friendly, culturally and historically vibrant city. They call it the Florence of the south, and whilst that's a bit of an exaggeration, it certainly has a wonderful atmosphere and the locals were incredibly helpful, charming and happy to see tourists. Wonderful restaurants, museums, churches and we arrived during a festival which was fantastic. I plan to return to Lecce.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful old town, with a huge number of restaurants and bars. Food was excellent throughout. Staff everywhere were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help. We visited in September and it was very busy - We can only imagine it is too crowded and too hot in peak summer months. Be aware that beaches are small, but there are a number of them, within walking distance, or by taxi to larger beach clubs. The old town is really beautiful, with tiny streets, squares and alleyways. Worth packing comfy shoes and just wandering.Guest review byNicolaIreland - 10.0

We were based in Polignano since it’s closer to Alberobello, Ostuni and Locorotondo, which we visited. For my mother, who uses a walker, 3-4 days were just right, but the rest of us could stay and explore Puglia towns for longer. Polignano’s streets are beautiful, with lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Beach and bridge are spectacular and a bit windy in October.Guest review byUrška Tea - 10.0

Very unique experience. The Trulli Houses are amazing. There's plenty of restaurants and shopping. The shopping covers the gamut from souvenirs to luxury items. It's a walking city so bring your walking shoes!Guest review byJust TravelUnited States - 8.0
Ostuni is well worth a visit.
Ostuni is well worth a visit. Easy to get and parking are ample. Views and surroundings v good. Food was absolutely delicious , ate at Mosca Bianca and highly recommend. Aside from the usual historic places e.g. cathedrals, city government buildings we saw studios/gallery which offered interesting paintings/scuptures by local artists.Guest review byyolamacUnited Kingdom - 8.0
We chose October to avoid the crowds.
We chose October to avoid the crowds. It was very pleasant and quiet not very touristy. It’s easy to get around on foot to many eateries and transport via train and buses to other locations. I did not find the local beach very interesting/ attractive and for that reason I would not return for a longer stay. Not much of interest for younger travellers. No parks within walking distance. Ideal for short stay 2-4 days. No car needed around the town but to access beaches you do need it. Parking is a definite problem.Guest review bySandraIreland - 10.0

I spent 11 nights in Otranto and used it to visit many areas in the southern most part of Puglia. It is a beautiful place with the warm Adriatic Sea to cool you down after the exertions of shopping and sight-seeing. Restaurants are plentiful but if I was to select one that we loved, it was Retro Gusto. Getting around Otranto is relatively stress free and if you enjoy people watching, then you are in your element in Otranto.Guest review byBenIreland - 10.0

Gallipoli is a very nice seaside town with beautiful beaches and is situated in a position that if there is rough weather there are beaches on the other side of twin with calm seas. Also the old town is really worth visiting . Many excellent restaurants in townGuest review byEdgarMalta - 4.0
I wouldn't rush back to Taranto.
I wouldn't rush back to Taranto. The modern town is very built up and feels a bit poor/run-down -- imagine a slightly more upmarket Naples. The old town is very dilapidated once you head away from the castle. Parts are totally derelict with more stray cats that human inhabitants. We chose Taranto as a base to explore Alberobello, Locorotondo and Matera, but would have been better staying somewhere more central.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom
