Love love love the interior design of this hotel! Absolutely gorgeous and so well designed. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need. Everything! Location - nearly the only place where was snow, great view on the mountains, not far away from sky resorts (8 min drive), historic sights, groceries. Staff - everyone is super nice and hospitable. Food - I should have mentioned it on the first place, but still, food is truly delicious. If you hesitate to take half-board, my answer is don’t! Just take it and enjoy. Chef seems to enjoy cooking every single meal, in each dish you read his passion and love about what he is doing. No words can describe it! Thank you so much! Facilities - pool with the view, good spa. Daily newspaper - awesome idea! It has some info on what to see around, recommendations, everyday new.

The view was amazing. The staff were so helpful and kind-Monica was particularly helpful...I was able to swim in the lake daily.. The rowboats were fun and the boat staff were helpful. The beauty of the setting is beyond words. The reflection of the mountains and trees in the turquoise water was breathtaking and constantly changing. The restaurant staff, including Ali and Elias and Simon and the housekeeping team, including Janna, were all excellent. The reception staff including Monica and Massimo were lovely. The folkst at the store, especially Roberto, were very kind and they carry good quality gifts. The owners have gone out of their way to honor the history, heritage, and traditions of the space while at the same creating a wonderful hotel in a amazing setting.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, the warm, attentive staff made us feel right at home—truly “bombastic” in the best possible way. The spa is simply magnificent, offering the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Just steps from the hotel, a magical forest beckons you for a peaceful morning walk. We were also delighted by the dedicated sports and yoga area, thoughtfully designed to help you reconnect with yourself. Everywhere you look, the hotel’s care and attention to detail shine through. As their slogan promises, it really is “Hard to find, hard to forget.” An exceptional place to unplug, unwind, and recharge—highly recommended! A huge thank you to the owners for their care and for this place!

This is the highest value for money we ever had. The hotel is located on the top of the hill, with an amazing view of the green fields. The food is nothing but PERFECT, we waited every day for the dinner to come!! Amazing amazing amazing!! Outside pool was really nice, gym is small but packed with dumbells and multi trainer. Indoor pool and jaccuzi were very good, the jacuzzi can be warmer, but it was ok. The landscape and food are the most incredible advantages of this hotel, we didnt want to leave! A big thanks to Fabian and Philip, and the women waitress was very kind! If we ever arrive at the Dolomites again, we will definitely come back!!!

The museums were well laid out and interesting, also reasonably priced. It was a lot busier than we were expecting & less friendly than other Italian cities. There were many shops, quite pricey, as well as a variety of street stalls, so a busy bustling City.

There is a lot to do in Merano, rain or shine. Of course, there are the local & famous walkways, the mountain hikes, bike trails, and the Dolomites are nearby. On rainy days, there are castles, the Terme spa/pools. Overall, it's a very nice town with a lot to do.

Because of the two gondolas accessible in town, we were able to explore both sides and experience a variety of terrain, none extremely challenging which worked for our various fitness levels. The views are stupendous and the convenience of the huts along the trails for lunch, a drink or even a break from the rain were fantastic. We didn't need to worry about packing snacks or lunches, and instead enjoyed reasonably priced, delicious meals along our hikes.

For those who may not know, Val Gardena is comprised of three distinct areas; Selva, Ortisei and Santa Cristina. My advice on where to stay is to try and figure out which mountain ranges you plan on hitting. That said, all three locations are very close together, and you can access them all within ten minute on the same bus. Personally, I would stick to Selva or Ortisei simply because of their access to vastly different mountain areas. Santa Cristina is snuggled between the two and didn't have as much to offer, IMO.

Castelrotto/Kasteruth is a delightful town set in beautiful surroundings and is we thought just the right size. Large enough to have two supermarkets , a number of choices for restaurants/Cafes , a Pharmacy , a number of clothes shopping opportunities but small enough that we never felt over crowded. It is delightful to see young children laughing their way off to school early morning. And there is a Gelato shop! There is a brand new lift that goes up to several delightful mountain walks at 1,500 metres , as I recall, and a restaurant and play area for children at the top.
