The most romantic and beautiful city you could ever imagine!
The most romantic and beautiful city you could ever imagine! Great restaurants on every corner! Beautiful old buildings where the dome stands out as the most majestic an beautiful structure I've ever seen. Awestruck every time I turned the corner to see it standing there! And a cruise down the river with a skilled violinist really crowned our stay! We also went to the vineyards of Chianti for a double visit and winetasting. Beaytiful surroundings and really worth a visit. If you want to avoid standing in lines, book your various attractions online before arriving. 15 minutes was the most time we spend in a line. Gives you more time at some of the great indoor markets in Florence!Guest review byHenrik DalsgaardDenmark - 4.0

Attractions were great but the city itself is dirty and too many pedlars and beggars. Police were there in numbers but not acting to stop tourists being hasled. Also be careful with buses as we bought paper tickets at the station and they were flimsy and dont buy returns as they only last 70 minutes. We could not validate our tickets and were fined on the way back. A lot of Italians in the city were very discourteous especially getting on and off busesGuest review byBillIreland - 6.0

The history of art is brilliant and the architecture impressive. The duomo is beautiful and incredible. The terrain is very hard work with uneven paving and very hilly. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or older people.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lucca is a beautiful walled city.
Lucca is a beautiful walled city. There's a lot to see if you are interested in history and culture. There are many delightful bars, pasticcerias and osterias. We would particularly recommend Caffe del Teatro for coffee and pastries. The city is small enough that you can walk out of the city into the countryside. An easy route is along the disused aqueduct path. There are also good bus and train services if you wish to go further afield. Pisa and Florence are easy to reach for a day trip. So is Viareggio. We plan to return.Guest review byMalcolmUnited Kingdom - 4.0

Was not impressed with the city and expected more given all the review I read online. My disapointment could be due to the fact I visited in February, so off season. I booked two nights but decided to only stay for one and left early. Even though I booked a room in the central part of the city I did not feel safe walking the streets at night.Guest review byViktoria - 10.0

We liked exploring the entire City and were fastinated with the old buildings. Only negative comment would be fact you need to pay for the use of the washroom. Most were dirty and lacked toilet seats.Guest review byDanielCanada - 10.0

Viarreggio is a very friendly and family type of town with some great beaches, pleasant pedestrianised streets, restaurants and a lovely park in the centre. Being very flat it is easy for people to get around town and there are many on bikes. Our favourite places to eat were MaMe Restaurant, Osteria l'Imbarco and Ristorante Pizzeria EdenGuest review byKENNETHUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Arezzo had enough history and sites to keep us interested.
Arezzo had enough history and sites to keep us interested. The walkable streets, ruins, and churches were easy to get to. There were plenty of restaurants ti choose from, and it was easy to recognize places where Life is Beautiful were filmed. Friendly and peaceful!Guest review byNatividadUnited States - 8.0

A good base if your a bit more adventurous and don't mind travelling by train. For example Pisa and Florence are both reachable by train but include changing trains at various places. Montecatini itself is a little run down in places with all the spa buildings closed. A nice little town square where a few bars can be found. Montecatini Alto is a gem reached by a funicular railway and Lucca (40 mins by train) is well worth a visit.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom
