I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Miratorre Superior in Pisa. The room was clean, spacious, and stylish, with modern design, high-end electrical outlets, and a brand-new bathroom. Everything was quiet and comfortable, and the AC was excellent—perfectly cold during the hot summer. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, which made the experience even better. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, especially the warm croissants and freshly brewed espresso. The location is also very convenient, just a short walk from the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

The hotel is amazing!!! The hotel is beautiful, staff are super friendly, great breakfast, very clean, spacious room, 10 min or less of most main attractions and good perks: parking lot is not at the hotel but they come to the hotel to take the car and take to a parking lot, and in the morning they bring the car back to the hotel, only 31 euros. For Rome this is GREAT! They also have a dry cleaning service.

This hotel is fantastic, especially the new building! Our room, 5014, offered a beautiful view. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is very central and convenient, as it is close to everything. They provide two different breakfast options, which is really convenient. The main drawcard of Pisa is the Tower, and it doesn't disappoint. If you are visiting you should buy tickets to climb the tower and take in the view. Not only is the view great, climbing the steps allows you to feel the lean of the tower which is something else! The baptistry and duomo are gorgeous and worth a visit along with the surrounding museums. Pisa was crazy during the day with all of the day tripping tourists, but calm and quiet in the evening and early morning allowing a great opportunity to have the tower to yourself.

Siena is very safe and clean. Architecture and city layout out is like stepping back in time. Bus services are excellent. Great base for walking and touring Tuscany. Siena is far less tourist intense than other Italian cities like Florence. My second favourite city in Italy to Bologna.

An underrated gem.

An underrated gem. Lucca has so much heart; no modern buildings, or anything to take you out of the serene setting of this city. Being so close to Pisa and Florence, it gets unfortunately overshadowed. However if you want the authentic Italian experience Lucca is a must. From wine tasting in the hills, to fantastic dinners around the city, this place to me, ranks far above the larger cities we saw on this trip. The cathedral and churches are a must, as well as the walk around the city wall. Although not too much to explore around the area, you slip right in to the daily life of an Italian. Morning focaccia and a cauppicono to the afternoon relax, Lucca is highly recommended for those who want to take a slow trip to just enjoy good wine, good food, and a lifestyle to dream of!

There's not a lot there. And when the cruise ships come in, it gets manic with people getting on busses. We'd a BAD experience with the inspectors that come on buses. They home in on tourist's, when they checked our tickets that we did on the card machine, though not our fault, we wanted 2 tickets, it gave us 1 and the called us crimenals

A beautiful historic town and one of our favourite stays on our 10-day Italy roadtrip. We traveled as a couple (in our 35-40's), and highly recommend staying at La Romantica Lolo, having a private wine tasting at Ercolani, dining at Ristorante La Grotta, and truffle hunting at Podere il Casale (15-min drive).

Prato has a lot of historic buildings, with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants hiding up side streets and in the squares. There’s also a large modern art gallery just outside - worth a visit if you like that kind of art. The railway station is a hub to get to all major cities - we travelled from Rome and then went on to visit Florence, Bologna and Pisa cheaply and easily.

We loved the ease of walking through the narrow streets and alleys. There was good signage so it was easy to find our way around. The medieval buildings were fascinating, as was the medieval fountain just outside the city walls. What an amazing experience to visit this 12th century structure where residents once collected their water. The old churches and works of art were fascinating--and the gelato was so fresh and delicious! The little shops were beautiful too--wonderful to stroll through history like this!
