- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 138 reviewsEverything! It’s beautiful!! The mountains are practically in the backyard. The rooms are very clean, attractively decorated and comfortable with lots of closet space. The restaurant is fantastic and the staff are very attentive. You never want or wait for anything because the servers are fantastic! We really cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed their service and how enjoyable they were. The breakfast is great with so many choices and dinners were delicious! The grounds are impeccably maintained and picturesque. A trail is accessible just across the street and we hiked to the mountains. Hopped in the car and took a beautiful drive to lots of small towns nearby. Had a drink on the deck at a charming place called Bar Heidi Wine Beer & Friends in Arabba Italy. Hotel Ciasa Salares was an incredible place to stay and we plan to gift a stay to family who just got married.Guest review byDanielUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 296 reviewsEverything was superb and the view from the room was breathtaking.. There are 4-5 types of saunas/baths, outdoor and indoor pool, relax room and more. Dinner time is adjusted perfectly so that you don't have to rush from your hikes. From the young lady at the reception to the lady and man who were with us during dinner, everyone was super helpful and informative. This was our honeymoon location and everything was perfect.Guest review byDanijelCroatia

Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area.
Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area. It is much higher and cooler than Bolzano. It is much smaller and easier to navigate than Cortina. It has access to very easy alpine meadow trails and more challenging rocky places above the tree line.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0

We quite liked the village - it felt nicer than most other villages in the surrounding area. This is because it is a bit bigger than most and has more traditional town layout (instead of being village lined out next to the main street). Architecture is mostly traditional, which gives it the right alpine village vibe. There is a good choice for places to eat and a decent SPAR store. Ski lift is nearby. It seems that every other house is a hotel or a guest house, so finding the right accommodation should be fairly easy.Guest review byJanisLatvia - 10.0
Colfosco is great for the views.
Colfosco is great for the views. Amazing if you stay in a place with a view of the mountains. Limited restaurant options. Blackhill was our favorite. The market in Corvara was better for groceries. The town is a good base for driving to some of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites. While my dad called it Cold-fosco, because we seemed to be getting more wind than some other towns in nearby valleys, It is also true that we had a pretty cold September all over the area.Guest review byWriterGuyColombia - 10.0
San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area...
San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area of the Dolomites. You are surrounded by the start of some great hiking trails and they are easy to access. It's a smaller village located closer to the Falzarego Pass and the Piz Sorega Cable Car. There are PLENTY of trails to find yourself on here. If you are staying at a local inn, make sure to try local ladin dishes and ask about the local dialect! You won't regret it. For solo female travelers the area is perfect, as I personally felt safe on the trails. Locals are friendly and you get some wonderful views of the surrounding dolomiti peaks.Guest review byKimberlykepharttravelsUnited States - 10.0

La Villa is a relatively small town near Corvara which is a well known large town. It is beautiful everything is slightly cheaper than Corvara and not so busy. The views are picturesque the restaurants are great and it’s not too far from passo Pordoi etc We recommend going in June or July before the chaos of August. It’s our favourite place to go and we will be returning.Guest review byLindaAustralia - 6.0

I did not really explore the locale ... struck me as not a huge amount to do - but I was very happy with the facilities at the Hotel Melodia. Lots of varied skiing - a car makes things very much easier than having to rely on local shuttles.Guest review byMr M to you.Malaysia - 10.0
Probably the best place to ski where we have been so far.
Probably the best place to ski where we have been so far. Large area, not too crowdy, slopes exactly to our taste (means blue and red :-) ). Well organised. Not sure where to park if you come late to the lift, but it was not our case.Guest review byAlenaCzech Republic - 6.0

La Vall is a good destination for vacations, but it is not a good choice for skiing because it is far from the ski lift and the ski bus does not go very often, so the journey to the ski lift takes a long time.Guest review byJasminaSerbia - 10.0
Area is fabulous. Hotel trying to charge for pool/spa .
Area is fabulous. Hotel trying to charge for pool/spa . They put us in one of their old rooms. Which was not worth the fee. I don’t know why they did that we were one of the few guests that had booked in all week .I thought that was pretty poor of them . The hotel did not inform booking.com there was a fee for using the pool. Pretty mean all round . They knew we not happy and they simply did not care. UnacceptableGuest review byAngelaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beautiful South Tyrol resort offering everything you need...
Beautiful South Tyrol resort offering everything you need for any mountain activities you can imagine or just pure relaxation. With mix of old buildings and modern ski infrastructure this place offers true alpine ambient. On top of surroundings I really enjoyed local cuisine that is simple but based on natural local ingredients exceptionally good in every restaurant we had a chance to visit. My favorites were "Chi Cianeis" for lunch and "Plazores" for dinner.Guest review byWiktorPoland
