- From $809.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 319 reviewsThe property is immaculate with beautiful cactus and olive tree gardens. The view is fabulous. From one side there is rocky beach with a view of Ortigia and on the other side there is a lovely sandy beach overlooking a cove. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied. The staff was helpful and accommodating. It is about a 20 minute easy drive to Ortigia which we did a couple of times. Local attractions were easy to get to.Guest review byLynnIsrael

I love Ortigia which is why I took a coworker there who is just exploring Sicily for the first time. For sunset you walk to the western side of the island but you can find many good places for a cold drink and to watch the sun set. A short boat and bus tour added a new experience. There's a lot of great dining on Ortigia and it is hard to go wrong.Guest review byfrequent pngUnited States - 10.0
Noto is safe and easy to get around in.
Noto is safe and easy to get around in. I walked all around. I took a taxi from the airport in Catania and back again in the middle of the night. The town is full of life. A warm, safe place with very friendly people. I have traveled widely but I was a bit intimidate to go to Sicily by myself. I loved it!! The hotel recommended Caffe Sicilia and I never looked back. I went for morning coffee, mid morning coffee, pastries, ice cream, and afternoon and evening Campari and wine. I always felt comfortable and welcomed. A few blocks away i visited a beautiful textile store Tappezzeria Blanco Giovanni. You don't have to buy curtains, they also sell pillows and fabulous bags. Pitittu di Sicilia a darling shop by the gate gives you all the information about the products and wines and Laura will even try to explain the post office. I love Noto and Sicily!Guest review byPerkins - 10.0

The 20 minute walk is down manystair so could be a challange for older people but there is bus and cab service within easy walking distance, The train ride in town is a must and seeing it both during the day and at night is needed to get the best experience.Guest review byKathleenUnited States - 8.0
Avola is lovely, not as touristy as other towns.
Avola is lovely, not as touristy as other towns. We stayed at a villa a few miles from the city center. If you do not have a car, be prepared to pay at least €20 each way to get to the bus or train station and back. It was worth it for us to avoid driving in the chaotic traffic. We did a boat excursion from Avola (Sicily Boat Tours) and it was wonderful. Would have loved to stay longer and explore more.Guest review byCassidyUnited States - 10.0

Modica is a very old town on South-east Sicily, quite important for her history and baroque architecture. Getting around is easy, if you like to walk a lot! There are a lot of stairs and climbings to get to Modica Alta, but it's worth. Food is very good and there are still restaurants with good prices. From Modica you can reach the beach in half an hour by car, and you can also visit several good natural spots (like Riserva Naturale di Pantalica, Cavagrande, Vendicari) just driving one/two hours. Good craftwork as well, especially ceramics.Guest review byMonicaItaly - 6.0

We went just out of season, so it wasn't too busy, but the size of the car park told us that this place gets extremely busy in high season. It is quite a small seaside town so I would imagine it is very crowded very quickly! There are lots of places to eat, but I would advise using trip advisor to select somewhere not too over priced.Guest review byJULIAUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Marina di Ragusa is a vibrant coastal beach village which is very clean, well maintained, great for dining out and living the Mediterranean summer evenings . . . and btw head to Piazza Duca degli Abruzzi in the early morning to enjoy un caffe and a freshly done pannina from from the salumeria. You'll enjoy it amongst the beautiful locals hanging aroundGuest review byBernardMalta - 8.0

Scicli is one of several towns in southern Sicilia worth visiting along with Modica, Noto and Syracuse. We were based in Donnalucata but Scicli was a notable jewel in the Sicilian crown, especially the "Chiesa di San Bartolomeo" of all the churches and cathedrals we saw, this was the most beautiful in my opinion.Guest review bySproggerUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Small city but it has many good places. Tiki beach is Perfect to stay and eat as well. In the city center you can find shops, but not so turistic ones. They have siesta from 1-5PM so everything is closed.Guest review byViktóriaHungary - 8.0

Not much culturally going on in Lido di Noto but check out main town of Noto just up the road. Quite a few decent restaurants as well as pizza joints. Several reasonable supermarkets off the ring road on the north side of Avola.Guest review byNigel BentleyUnited Kingdom
