The entire staff was extremely well trained, was always ready to help and all the time with big smiles on their faces. We did a mistake in our travel planning and arrived one day too early: they were able to book us a room at a nearby hotel (as Tratterhof was fully booked that night) and offered us to use all the facilities we needed. The food was fantastic, with plenty of options for children and adults, including excellent wine offerings. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the ski pistes (close by and with a free hotel shuttle) were good. After skiing, we could choose between an indoor pool or an outside infinity pool (both heated), family sauna, indoor playroom or cinema for children. Wonderful! The hotel is located on the top of the hill, with an amazing view of the green fields. The food is nothing but PERFECT, we waited every day for the dinner to come!! Amazing amazing amazing!! Outside pool was really nice, gym is small but packed with dumbells and multi trainer. Indoor pool and jaccuzi were very good, the jacuzzi can be warmer, but it was ok. The landscape and food are the most incredible advantages of this hotel, we didnt want to leave! A big thanks to Fabian and Philip, and the women waitress was very kind! Nice and clean apartment. Even we only had contact with the host via the chat, the host was very helpful though. The location of apartment was perfect. It's located in the city center. This is a fantastic place to stay. We really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. We were able to rent good bicycles near by from Marcus and the local restaurant Glassl brau was so good we ate there 3 nights. Lovely hotel right in the center of the town with the most vibrant restaurant. Comfortable car-park is available despite the narowness of the streets. From the terrase of the restaurant one can bath in the sun, enjoy the church-bells and take in the views. Rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. Service is very friendly and fast. Laion is a lovely little town, quiet and cosy. Several restaurants and a shop are available, but all the surrounding villages are easily accessible by car. There is a ski bus to the ski slopes, but you can also get there quickly by car. It's not crowded, it has an authentic atmosphere for those who don't like crowds and want to enjoy real country hospitality. This is a relatively small town and so easily walkable with lots of really nice local bakers, and shops selling cheese, wine, speck and chocolate - plus the usual supermarkets, pharmacies and places where you can get all your hiking and walking gear. Try strolling along all the narrow streets that lead off the main square to see what's there. A really pleasant and slightly longer walk to take is by following the path along the river to the nearby Neustift/Novacella Abbey where you can try the excellent wine they make there (the local grape varieties are Kerner and Sylvaner) and cheese.Guest review byRuthUnited Kingdom - 10.0
