- From $248.61 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,952 reviewsThe hotel is great. The facilities are very good - a nice warm indoor pool and an exceptional nice and deep outdoor pool. The hotel thinks of many little things, you can use bikes for free, tennis area as well. The breakfast is really varied and of good quality. But what makes the hotel exceptional is its staff. So friendly and helpful. For us from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out we were treated like kings by Daniele. From arranging a babysitter, to organizing transport for us, he was the one employee who stood out amongst a whole staff of friendly and competent workers. Even the housekeeping was super friendly, forthcoming, fast and thorough with their work.Guest review byAlexPortugal
- From $433.90 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 660 reviewsThe hotel, restaurant and spa are exceptional especially after a long day of cycling. But most of all the staff were wonderful and so helpful. From the fellow who greeted me, and the young lady who arranged to do some laundry for me quickly, and the fine young men who served me dinner and to the wonderful lady who made me a doppio espresso in the morning. All were so nice and hard working. Thank you to the team at Albergo le Terme. Your hotel is great but you make it special.Guest review byMarkCanada

The historic center is very walkable.
The historic center is very walkable. Most of the sights and museums are right in the center. But also just walking the small side streets and enjoying the atmosphere, enjoying amazing food and coffee was one of my favorite things to do. Saturday market at porta palazzo is truly a must-experience. In the side streets in the city center watch out for small concept stores and cafes/bars; there are some real juwels to discover. If you like street art, to to the area of Campidoglio (10 min. by metro from the station). Really worth it (during the week, as Sunday everything is closed).Guest review byNicoleSwitzerland - 10.0

La Spezia is a great town-lots of great shops, restaurants and bars for aperitivo. Very walkable and people very friendly. Perfect jumping point for access to Cinque Terre. We found it a perfect balance using Cinque Terre card and taking train in daily. More affordable and more active later in the evening so ideal for our trip.Guest review byKossis - 6.0

The history of art is brilliant and the architecture impressive. The duomo is beautiful and incredible. The terrain is very hard work with uneven paving and very hilly. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or older people.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lucca is a beautiful walled city.
Lucca is a beautiful walled city. There's a lot to see if you are interested in history and culture. There are many delightful bars, pasticcerias and osterias. We would particularly recommend Caffe del Teatro for coffee and pastries. The city is small enough that you can walk out of the city into the countryside. An easy route is along the disused aqueduct path. There are also good bus and train services if you wish to go further afield. Pisa and Florence are easy to reach for a day trip. So is Viareggio. We plan to return.Guest review byMalcolmUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you want to avoid the touristy cities in Italy, Parma is the place to visit. We travelled by train from Milan, so no need for a car. Easy to walk around, plenty of history and of course the Food is what the city is most famous for.Guest review bySandys - 10.0

Wonderful city, not chaotic even if it is full of shops, restaurants and cafes. The centre pf the city is mostly pedestrian area all the day. Beautiful Roman remains and obviously surrounded by mountains and trees. One of our best family holidays ever. We simply loved it.Guest review byMarkMalta - 10.0

We liked exploring the entire City and were fastinated with the old buildings. Only negative comment would be fact you need to pay for the use of the washroom. Most were dirty and lacked toilet seats.Guest review byDanielCanada - 10.0

Viarreggio is a very friendly and family type of town with some great beaches, pleasant pedestrianised streets, restaurants and a lovely park in the centre. Being very flat it is easy for people to get around town and there are many on bikes. Our favourite places to eat were MaMe Restaurant, Osteria l'Imbarco and Ristorante Pizzeria EdenGuest review byKENNETHUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Loved Orvieto.
Loved Orvieto. The cathedral and museums are fantastic and wandering the atmospheric streets is a joy. The underground Orvieto tour is a must, really interesting and a brilliant guide. Lots of lovely restaurants, many in nice squares, lots of wonderful shops with artisan products. We stayed 2 nights giving us 2 full days which was perfect. If you love history, art and architecture and you enjoy good food and wine you will love Orvieto. It is small enough to walk around. If you want a burst of exercise vist St Patrick's well, a deep Etruscan well - didn't count the steps but it certainly got the heart rate going climbing back up. We ate lunch in the Enoteca Al Duomo in Piazza del Duomo the first day, delicious food and wine, charming owner who produces some of the wine served and sold in the Enoteca - highly recommended. On our last day we had a lovely lunch on the panoramic terrace of Trattoria Vinosus in Piazza del Duomo- delicious. Both restaurants in a great location and yet reasonably priced.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom
