- From $126.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,168 reviewsThese are modest, minimalist cottages located inside a national nature reserve — the only real alternative to staying at a chain hotel on the Dead Sea. The cottages are very basic, but they offer something rare: the chance to sit and listen to the sound of the sea, or take an outdoor shower with a sea view. There is access to the sea — not exactly a traditional beach, but you can swim, and there’s fresh water available to rinse off afterwards. Dinner and breakfast were perfectly decent, but the real highlight is the tranquility, privacy, and connection to nature. The best cottages are those with one double and one single bed — they’re farthest from reception, offering the most space and the most seclusion.Guest review bySergeyArmenia
- From $50.55 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 282 reviewsVisited from Texas. Must be something about the land being elevated, both physically and spiritually-- slept very well. Spacious room, affordable, in city center and a few minutes drive from Mount Nebo. Hotel staff were exceedingly friendly and ask for Towfeeq if you need a local driver and guide. He's a true son of the soil and I had a blast with him showing me all over the dead sea, Amman, and even a hot springs visited by locals and previously Herod the great.Guest review byAdanUnited States

Madaba is world famous for its ancient mosaics and its modern day mosaic school and workshops. If you want to see a mosaic, go to Madaba. Furthermore there are some very good and well priced restaurants.Guest review byTimothyUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The Mujib is for people who want to wind down and go slow.
The Mujib is for people who want to wind down and go slow. The place needs some attention and could use a coat of paint and some general maintenance. The staff are very nice, but why are there no women working there? Overall we would recommend Mujib Chalets. The site is so beautiful and the Dead Sea so weird that there is no place like it.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The tourist part with St John the Baptist church, visitor centre, museum and burnt palace etc is easy to explore and plenty of eateries too. Shop keepers are helpful and don't hassle you much. Easy to take a taxi to Mount Nebo, and I also enjoyed Bethany beyond the Jordan (where John the Baptist did his work), which takes a bit longer as you get bussed from the visitor reception to the river. It was amazing to look across the river to Israel where someone was being baptised. The Dead Sea and Hot Springs are also within reach, but not sure how it works with all the 4star hotels along the edge. Yellow taxis plentiful. If it's cold in Madaba (I was there in early March and they had a cold spell) the good news is its warm at the Dead Sea and the hot springs are wonderfully warm.Guest review byLesleyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We almost skipped Madaba as we wanted to spend more time in Petra and Wadi Rum but were so glad we went and could have spent more time. Besides the incredible mosaics, there are Roman ruins and underground spaces that were fun to explore plus this had some of the best shopping we saw and we regretted not having more time to browse. With its Byzantine history Madaba feels different than the other cities in Jordan and is well worth the visit.Guest review byAprilUnited States
