    Wonderful stay with a beautiful sea view! I had an amazing stay at the Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel. The sea view room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, making it a great place to clear your mind and just enjoy the moment. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, both Japanese and Western styles — a great way to start the day. The staff were kind, helpful, and professional, making the whole experience even more pleasant. There’s a FamilyMart just downstairs, and even a small spot to grab fresh paper and pens, which I found very thoughtful. Transportation was also convenient — it’s a short walk from the nearest station and close to the harbor area, perfect for sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kobe.     The facilities are very perfect. Ie. shuttle bus from/to hotel to train station and ropeway, varieties of gold and silver onsens in one place are stunning we didn’t have to go other onsens to try both of them.     Kobe is a great city to visit. A vibrant, buzzing and cosmopolitan city with memorable features such as the ropeway to the herb garden at the JR Shin Kobe Station at Sannomiya (an absolute must for visitors), the Maya cable car and ropeway and the Akashi bridge to Awaji Island.

    Himeji is obviously very famous for its castle, but other than that lacks many things to do. I found my time there to be rather boring, and we often struggled to find activities to fill our nights with. We used Himeji as a central location to take day trips from - since we booked during Golden Week, hotel prices in more ideal areas, such as Kobe, were heavily inflated and unreasonable.

    I visited the theme park Nijigen No Morii with Naruto and...

    I visited the theme park Nijigen No Morii with Naruto and Dragonquest Island and both was amazing. Ill definitely come Back to the Park. It's a bit tricky to get around with the local (limited) buses as there run only about once every hour so a rental car ist the better option. From Iwaya Port theres a Shuttle bus to Nijigen No Morii and the hello Kitty sites, it's free and stops on a couple of sites along the route. The Shuttle operates from 10am to 9pm.

    We enjoyed the small town.

    We enjoyed the small town. It was quaint and quiet, but still had plenty to do. We visited many shops and restaurants at Kinosaki Onsen as well as visited a few of the onsen. I don't know where Toyooka stops and Kinosaki starts, so I am combining them as the say destination. We had a wonderful time!

    Amagasaki is a great 'real' town so close to Osaka, but with its own character. We saw a diverse mix of people from all walks of life. Working class, business people, skateboarders, old people playing ukelele in the park. There is a nice old shopping street which is not to be missed. Some good old 'Showa' era coffee shops. We didn't get to do half the things we planned. Will be back!

    It is sad to see dying city, even small one. Nothing to do there, difficult to find a nice place to eat even food prices are high. Ohama beach is nice, however there are some creatures in the sea which sting you. Overrated place to visit.

    Kobe is known for Kobe Beef.

    Kobe is known for Kobe Beef. Unfortunately this highly priced wagyu is exported to 5 star hotels, top restaurants in Kyoto and Tokyo, or overseas. Sad that many of the wagyu restaurants are not serving the famed high-end Kobe wagyu. It is busy metropolis, but less crowded than nearby Osaka. As the city is built on hills and mountains, the local hiking culture and sudden panoramic views are both delights. There is not much in terms of local culture or cuisine, besides some western influence as shown in the architecture of few buildings and an abundance of pâtissiers.

    The Himeji locals are friendly.

    The Himeji locals are friendly. I also like the town as it has a little of an un-hurried atmosphere. Finding things to do and places to see it facilitated by a Tourist Information centre, where I have been most surprised by the things on offer throughout the year. (I wish I was there now for the Himeji Yukata festival) If you haven't already, please visit Himeji Castle and take a guided tour. The guides in my experience are full of information about e castle, its history and the history of its occupants. If nature is your thing, by all means possible visit Shosha-zan!

    Dinning options were limited especially if you have food allergies however the hotel did accommodate. Not many restaurant options in town as many close during the week. Very cute town and loved wearing the Yakuta around town. Sadly I didn’t try the public Onsens but the hotel had a private Onsen which was very nice to rent.
