- From $243.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 6,091 reviewsLocation - Away from the bustle of over-touristy (main) Shinjuku Conveniently located few steps away from Tokyo Metro (Shinjuku Gyoenmae station - Marounuchi Line - which goes to Tōkyō station - especially if you're arriving via Narita Express - no need to drop off from extremely confusing Shinjuku Station) Has quieter, neighborhood style restaurants and coffee shops; and a leisurely walk towards Shinjuku (via San-Cho-Me) - see shops, Isetan, two starbucks haha, local market, a Tsukiji-style restaurant as well Can stroll to nearby Shinjuku National Garden - extremely popular during autumn and Sakura seasons ----- Rooms This is a typical Japanese business hotel. DO NOT EXPECT a "decently sized" room. If you're booking for two persons and you've got big luggages - don't expect to have any more foot treading space left HAHAHAHA. Small bathroom, Japanese bidet toilet yes! Toothbrush, comb, shaver, towels - yes! Can also ask to clean room once a day ----- Onsen (Japanese style spa) - yes! Love it! -----Guest review byFrancis AlbertSingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,598 reviewsThe most wonderful onsen we've ever experienced and it was great to be able to experience it as a couple since the baths allowed mixed genders. The food was great too and our room was very beautiful, but the most beautiful area was the rotenburo bath area which was amazing. The staff was friendly and great and the free shuttle bus made it easy to reach the location from Jomokogen (and Jomokogen was easy to reach from Kyoto station). An absolutely fantastic experience and we were lucky enough to get to experience both a mild evening and a cold morning with some snow! It was beautiful and made the warm bath even more cozy.Guest review byOttoSweden
- From $193.67 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 12,375 reviewsFirst off is the ease of getting there by bus from Narita or Haneda. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Second is the location, it is directly connected to Makuhari Messe by a walk way and short walk to a few malls and restaurants. 3rd is the hotel is clean and the facility and amenities is great. There are a few restaurants and a 24 hr Lawson’s convenience store within the hotel.Guest review byMichaelGuam

The people is the best of Tokyo. but it's very crowded. Tourists are crazy about famous places. But it's really worth visiting. I highlight the cleanliness, security, taxi and Uber services, customer service and bathrooms. The Japanese have achieved perfection.Guest review byRegineBrazil - 10.0

Don’t stay at an airport hotel unless you have an early am flight. Hotels are too far from amenities. Train service in Japan is so good that you can stay an extra day in Tokyo and other areas close to Tokyo and get to airport if your flight is laterGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0
If you enjoy transportation adventures, Hakone is the place...
If you enjoy transportation adventures, Hakone is the place for you! In one day with the Free Pass you can take the mountain train from Hakone-Yumoto up to the funicular (which they call a cable car) and then there are two cable cars (they call them ropeways) that you take up to smokin' (literally) Mt. Hakone and then down to the lake and from there you can take a ship across and if you like roller coaster rides, take the K bus back to Hakone--11 switch backs at breakneck speed! There are also onsen nearby and lots of tourist shops with a variety of local specialties. Really fun and highly recommended! Oh, and if you like art, definitely pit stop at the Open Air museum. V. kid-friendly and also great to explore for a couple hours or a whole day if you can spare it!Guest review bysvmknitsUnited States - 10.0

Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration 2025 was held there this year, I had to come and visit. The city is only about an hour away from Tokyo and going there from Chiba was easy to do. Locally speaking, Chiba offers many different places to eat (some of the best donuts I've ever had came from a donut shop called Uni Donuts close to the hotel I stayed at) and a cool Anime hobby store.Guest review byOliver - 8.0

We were attending a event in Kawasaki so that is why we stayed there. We didn't really do much sight-seeing in Kawasaki. We liked that the city was only a short train ride to many other cities like downtown Toyko and Yokohama. We enjoyed the many shopping and restaurants around Kawasaki Station.Guest review byScott - 8.0

Touristy, somewhat charmless town that is nevertheless worth it for the magnificent shrines (Shinto, and the resting places of the first and third shoguns) and temples (Buddhist) and the museum (splurge on the museum! Seriously). Many people go to see these buildings + the red bridge (which is merely fine - short and not really noteworthy), but don't venture to the outskirts of Nikko to take in the other sites (Kanmangafuchi Abyss, Botanical Garden, Tamozawa Imperial Villa and much more impressive Nikko Dainichi Bridge).Guest review byChristopherUnited States - 10.0

Nice quiet suburb of Tokyo that isn't overpriced or infested with tourists, but also still has easy, reasonably direct access to Tokyo city center. Only downside is there's not too much in terms of nature or views, but overall still have a nice relaxing vibe.Guest review byLittleBlueStarJapan
