The hotel is simple but very clean and elegant, the rooms are spacious compared to other hotels across Japan, the staff were extremely helpful and went the extra mile to help us out, the location is amazing with only a 10 minute walk from Nishiki market, and around 10 minutes walking to the old Gion district. Room was small (as expected) but very bright and warm and the space was used really well. Actually, it was the only Japan room we stayed in that had a closet! And the bed and the shower were both some of the biggest we experienced during our Japan visit! We also loved the lounge area and it was a great touch that they provided free drinks there.

    Location, location, location. This hotel is across the street from Kyoto Station and Aeon Mall is around the corner so it's ideal. Our twin rooms were in the main building so they were slightly dated but for the price that we paid, that is to be expected. The main thing is the rooms were very clean. People also may find a lack of floor space for everyone to open up luggage if you are in the main building. Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful.

    Fantastic location, inside the Kyoto Station, which helped a lot to move around everywhere. Even though, train station noise is not heard from the room, so sleeping and relaxing were fine. Staff is also incredible and helped us to forward our luggage and gave us tips about what to see around. Our stay at Granvia Kyoto was unforgettable, and we are already making plans to come back. Thanks everyone to make our vacation so special.

    I love this hotel. Very close to the station, Nidec Tower and also the hop on hop off bus, restaurants and many attractions. Very easy to check in and quick to check out. I love the Yukata so much! I had no time to visit the Grand Spa because I had so many activities. The price is reasonable. It was beyond what I expected when I booked.

Convenient, flexible and reasonably priced, Young children ought to see the temples, shrines, gardens and museums too. It is good for them to gain an early appreciation of the area's cultural and historic treasures.

    Miyazu which includes Amanohashidate, is one of three natural sites in Japan. The land bridge spans across the sea is fun to view from the observation points (on both sides) and you can actually bike (20 minutes) or walk (50 minutes) one way across. A small town with lots of charm and beauty.

    The staff was awesome! They did everything in their power to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Room is extremely small by US standards! Room could use a microwave, the only one available was on the ground floor and I was on the 7th.

    Kameoka is the starting point of the famous and historical Hozu River rafting ride that takes you to Arashiyama, home of the famous bamboo forest. Enjoy the rafting, enjoy Arashiyama and take the train back to Kameoka. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station. A perfect day.

    The owners were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean! The only confusion was that the description on Booking.com states that breakfast is available, it doesn’t say that you pay extra for it. I also paid for towels. If I understand correctly the coat is then deducted from the room fee but it really wasn’t clear.

    Kyoto is a wonderful places.

    Kyoto is a wonderful places. There are many beautiful shrines here, the natural sightseeing spots are very beautiful also. It's easy and convenient to travel here as there are a lot of buses run from the early morning till late night.

    Lots of tourists on holidays but pretty peaceful on normal days. The beach was great but I think they limit the days you can swim. Nice stroll along the sandbar. Amanohashidate is the main thing, there's nothing much to do in Ine aside from taking the boat tour. It's probably best to take the tour that starts from Amanohashidate and goes straight to Ine if you want to save time.

    I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.
