- From $766.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 694 reviewsSo close to the station, very convenient. My room looked exactly like in the picture w/ a beautiful sea view of Amanohashidate & the bay. I stayed there in July, during summer, and the AC was super cold, which I really appreciated. In the bathroom they have make up cleanser, toner, lotion by Pola very convenient. They also provide some product for men, shaving cream, aftershave & lotion. I also enjoyed the foot onsen at the back of the hotel, really relaxing. The garden at the back also offers a gorgeous sea view, perfect for unwinding. There’s a nice restaurant just a one-minute walk away, located on the second floor above a shop that sells food, sweets & knickknacks. It’s also easy to access the temple, ferry tour station and some charming little shops nearby. Don’t forget to stop by a lovely cafe right by the water, it's overlooking the rotating red bridge, they serve lovely desserts.Guest review byNindiyaIndonesia
- From $345.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 3,855 reviewsI had only checked the list of amenities when I booked without reading the fine print, so didn't realize the swimming pool was primarily for adults (word of caution to fellow travelers!). This was a surprisingly uncommon restriction, but the staff and manager told me that children can be admitted during 7-9am in the mornings and called ahead to the pool so they were expecting my daughter and myself when we arrived early the next morning. Pool was pleasantly warm (around 32 degrees C?) and we had a nice swim. The hotel is beautiful and room was very nice.Guest review byImmqSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,261 reviewsLocation, location, location. This hotel is across the street from Kyoto Station and Aeon Mall is around the corner so it's ideal. Our twin rooms were in the main building so they were slightly dated but for the price that we paid, that is to be expected. The main thing is the rooms were very clean. People also may find a lack of floor space for everyone to open up luggage if you are in the main building. Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful.Guest review byEileenUnited States

September was much too hot and humid for a visit.
September was much too hot and humid for a visit. Not sure when is cooler, though! The key tourist sites are overrun now, so head for the “atypical” locations - there are so many temples you don’t have to see the usual ones. Nijo-Jo castle is a must, but go later in the day to avoid crowds. Make sure you try the really small kitchen/resurants, where some of the cooking is exceptional.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Miyazu which includes Amanohashidate, is one of three natural sites in Japan. The land bridge spans across the sea is fun to view from the observation points (on both sides) and you can actually bike (20 minutes) or walk (50 minutes) one way across. A small town with lots of charm and beauty.Guest review byAmyCanada - 8.0
The staff was awesome!
The staff was awesome! They did everything in their power to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Room is extremely small by US standards! Room could use a microwave, the only one available was on the ground floor and I was on the 7th.Guest review byMarkGermany - 10.0

Kameoka is the starting point of the famous and historical Hozu River rafting ride that takes you to Arashiyama, home of the famous bamboo forest. Enjoy the rafting, enjoy Arashiyama and take the train back to Kameoka. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station. A perfect day.Guest review byDeepuJapan - 8.0
The owners were very friendly and helpful.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean! The only confusion was that the description on Booking.com states that breakfast is available, it doesn’t say that you pay extra for it. I also paid for towels. If I understand correctly the coat is then deducted from the room fee but it really wasn’t clear.Guest review byCatherineCanada - 10.0

Gionmachi is a wonderful section of Kyoto and offers much to see and experience. It is easy, maybe 15 to 20 minutes taxi to other areas of Kyoto that are also beautiful, historical and traditional. Overall, this is a place I would come back to because I have much more to see.Guest review byAlanUnited States - 8.0

Even though one could say compared to any other time in the past that the city is really full of tourists, the local seem to understand and have adjusted. I think it’s obvious that it looks different than most cities in Japan making It forever a cool place to go.Guest review byMatthewJapan - 10.0

Lots of tourists on holidays but pretty peaceful on normal days. The beach was great but I think they limit the days you can swim. Nice stroll along the sandbar. Amanohashidate is the main thing, there's nothing much to do in Ine aside from taking the boat tour. It's probably best to take the tour that starts from Amanohashidate and goes straight to Ine if you want to save time.Guest review byAshwenPhilippines - 10.0
I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas.
I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.Guest review byeltopoJapan - 10.0

I loved this hotel!!! The service was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The location was perfect - close to town but not in town. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. Close to the train station as well. I will certainly stay here on my next trip to Kyoto.Guest review byCatherineUnited States
