- From CAD 588.84 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 3,293 reviewsThe hotel is very well connected to Hakata Station via underground walkway. The direct elevators to the rooms are literally located in the station’s basement floor so all you need is your keycard and viola. The hotel is very new, modern and has very good sized rooms with spacious bathrooms and great amenities. The TV also has Apple TV so you can watch your favorite shows without worrying for bedtime or while eating in the room. There are a lot of food options (in and around Hakata Station), a Starbucks next door, two Lawsons and a Family Mart just around the corners. The staff were amazing and polite and spoke very good English so you don’t have to worry about the language barrier. Thank you for the amazing service and treatment.Guest review byMOHAMEDBahrain
- From CAD 414.54 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 462 reviewsMt. Inasayama is a major tourist attraction in Nagasaki. The hotel is located on the mountain and offers a grand view of Nagasaki Harbor and wharf especially at night. The staff are great, helpful and very polite. The facilities offer gorgeous views, several large baths (not onsen hot springs, but similar) a couple restaurant choices and a bar. Of course all the usual amenities are available. It's not the most modern hotel, but that's what gives it character. It was a fantastic choice for our last night in Nagasaki on this trip. We really enjoyed our stay and would book it again.Guest review byStephenJapan
- From CAD 463.53 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 139 reviewsAn unexpected highlight of my vacation. After a long day of hikes around the Ebino Plateau I was really looking forward to this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations by far. I was greeted by a cordial receptionist who graciously took my luggage and gave a tour of the facilities. The large onsen baths here are amazing and it's great to be able to try so many different baths in a single facility. Dinner was nothing short of exquisite and was very filling--not to mention, the breakfast buffet was amazing! I really wished I had stayed longer here.Guest review byCodyUnited States
- From CAD 642.54 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 128 reviewsI love the location of the Ryokan. It was towards the edge of the town, next to the river. We booked a private onsen room which was apparently separated from the main building but it's only about 50 ft away and made for a more relaxing experience. Food was excellent and staff was very helpful. Public and private onsen were both very nice.Guest review byKimUnited States
- From CAD 352.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,247 reviewsThis hotel is best in class in all respects. The Onsen is amazing and the buffet was great with a wide variety. They have two full sized shuttle buses rotating around the city for guests to use freely and it stops at the JR Station and all along the city center. Taxis are readily available to book as well.Guest review byDavidUnited States

Fukuoka City offers a lot for travellers who like the city feel, but not necessarily how crowded Tokyo is. There’s many cultural sites within Fukuoka and surrounds if that’s what you like as well. I love Fukuoka. There’s many other part of Kyushu that Fukuoka offers easy access to as well.Guest review byNoel CJ EvansAustralia - 10.0

Beppu was one of the highlights of our trip. We flew in and out of Fukuoka and while its nothing compared to other major Japanese cities we have visited, Beppu provided us with really good onsens and very good Oita food which we truly miss til this day!Guest review byBTSingapore - 10.0

Kagoshima in winter - Feb - can be very cold. Food here is great and the Satsuma Japanese wonderful. Black is a lucky color in Kagoshima thus the my son's Rebnise basketball team wears black at home games. Taxis are always available at stations and it is not far from anywhere. A day trip to Ibuski's sand baths is recommended - on fine days. Plenty of public natural mineral water onsens are available. Shiroyama's has a fantastic view .The ferry ride and Rainbow Onsen on Sakurajima is great.Guest review byJohn CantorAustralia - 6.0

Enjoyed the countryside scenery and driving without toll ways made it more interesting but longer. Get use to paid parking everywhere which is not expensive and ensure you have data roaming for gps. Driving is a breeze, 40klm speed limit max 80klm on expressway. Locals are courteous drivers and stickers for road rules. Google translate for help at petrol stations and elsewhere is ideal.Guest review byDavyAustralia - 10.0

Morning walk along the waterway when there were not many tourists was peaceful and enjoyable. The are lots of small shops on the main street, but might be too crowded to enjoy. The shops close around 5pm. My favorite eating place was Pizzeria Kunugi no Oka; good food and good view of the Yufu city.Guest review byMukPThailand - 6.0
Not a great deal to do or see in Oita.
Not a great deal to do or see in Oita. The castle ruins holds some interest. A very friendly man in a temporary office in the car park helpfully explained more about the castle and it's moats. Could use Oita as a base for visiting Beppu if you can't get accommodation there By train it's only 280 yen and 12 minutes away.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 6.0

I'd strongly recommend taking the time to ensure that the accommodation you're booking is close enough to any specific areas you wish to visit. Saga itself, is simply a township without too many attractions other than a museum, a castle and a couple of short, pretty walks. If you want to see something further afield, such as Arita or Imari (located in the Saga region), be prepared for quite a bit of travel. Even places to stay near these areas are several kilometers away.Guest review byCarolyneAustralia
