Silk Island Homestay is situated in Silk Island and has a private pool and garden views. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the lake and pool. The perfect stay. I had the entire first/upper floor of the house for myself to relax and to recover from my jet lag. The house is quite newly built with a modern bathroom and kitchen but in a kmer style with a luxurious feel. Beautiful floor tiles, huge living room and a veranda to the front and a large balkony to the back. Lots of fans and air conditioning. A pool in the beautiful shady garden and opposite there is a small shop that rents out bicycles and sells coconuts with straws for drinking. Rany, the landlord, is extremely friendly and I learned a lot from her about Cambodia and it's people and culture. I was given Moringa tea for free. The accommodation is easy to find, I walked from the ferry. You can also walk to the silk production places near by, and there is a small village with a market. The island has the perfect rural feel.
