What a place! The scenery is amazing, huts on the beach are so relaxing. But really the staff is what makes the resort special, they are super sweet and helpful. Had a great time and there are some good surf spots nearby, but without being in the bustle of A Bay. Would highly recommend, especially for couples and small groups that would prefer a more relaxed experience on this coast. Definitely will go back

Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Everything about the property was absolutely lovely— it truly had everything you could ever need. The food was delicious, the rooms were clean, and the pool area was gorgeous. The hosts, Michelle and Catherine, were incredibly kind, accommodating, and responsive. The rest of the staff were incredible as well. We stayed here for almost a week and it was a very special part of our trip. We can’t wait to come back.

One of the Best hotel! As a person who stay there 5 nights, during my stay I replace to Luxury room, I can defiently say this is one of the best in Arugam! First the staf were so friendly! Helping with every request, helping with lately check out, and were very friendly! Food: we took 3 breakfast, it was good, value for money they have a resturant menu. But in the last two nights we prefer to eat outside. Swimming pool: As a person who like to swim, I really like to swim there, part of the swimming pool cover by shadow and part by sun. Finally, I really recommend about this Hotel! This should be your first choise!

I am incredibly impressed with the outstanding customer service at this establishment. While traveling for work, I had to take public transport and required a very late check-in at 4 AM. Many other places either refused me or tried to charge for two full days, even though I was only staying for a few hours. In a last-minute decision right before boarding my bus, I booked this hotel and explained my situation. To my relief, they immediately agreed to my request without any hesitation or additional fees. When I arrived in the early hours of the morning, everything was perfectly prepared for me. The place itself is lovely, with a unique touch: each room has its own private outdoor seating area complete with a sofa, table, and even a ceiling fan. On top of all that, the location is fantastic, right in the heart of town, making everything easily accessible by foot. I can't recommend this place enough, especially for their wonderful hospitality!

Swiss Bay Hotel & Resort Arugam bay: A Fantastic Stay! My recent stay at Swiss Bay Hotel & Resort in Arugambay was absolutely wonderful, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone visiting the area. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches and the serene atmosphere that allowed for complete relaxation. The location is truly ideal, offering easy access to the beautiful beach and the vibrant local scene, yet providing a peaceful retreat when you want to unwind.     You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

    The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded, Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.

The main attractions are the excellent waves for surfing, clear waters, and a peaceful environment. It’s also a great place for families and friends to relax and enjoy a comfortable vacation.
