- From $168.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 633 reviewsEverything and everyone at Amaya Hills was amazing. From the second I arrived at the reception till the day I was checking out. The property is a wonderful vintage style hotel. Clean rooms with wonderful views of the greens. Our rooms were take care of by Sarangeetha who’s a very kind person. The service you are provided at the hotel is exceptional managed by Aravinda and Thushara, you can ask them anything and they will make it happen. At the restaurant, the chef Lasantha is an amazing gentleman, tell him about your delights and he’ll cook them for you. Our waiter Rukmal is generously funny person. Special thanks to Mr. Hilmy, the front office manager who is taking care of all the details to make the customers satisfied. Will definitely return and highly recommended.Guest review byAnisQatar

- From $553.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 39 reviewsWhat made our stay really memorable is the staff, from front desk agents, to waiters at the restaurants, to the guys driving us around with buggies, to people servicing our room. They have been amazingly kind and hospitable with us. It is difficult to pick one in particular, but if we have to name one we would say Kusal, who on our last day came especially to pick us from the lake and drove us back to the reception. Not only he gave us a small tour but also told us lots of interesting facts about the fishermen and the animals living in the area around the lakGuest review byFabioUnited Kingdom

Kandy is a very busy city!
Kandy is a very busy city! We ended up having to spend 3 nights there due to trying to get a train booking to Kandy, however we felt that 1 night, max 2 would have been enough. You can get round all the main attractions in a day so you don't need to spend too much time. Don't book tickets through a third party as you are not guaranteed them (we were told the day before we didn't have tickets!) so just turn up early to the station and you'll get a ticket for the train - though no guarantee of a seat!Guest review byBillieAustralia - 10.0
There is so much more to do in this area than I realised.
There is so much more to do in this area than I realised. I will definitely come back. The area is beautiful and we were sad to leave. We dud Pidurangala Rock which was fun, more of an adventurous climb than Lions Rock. It has incredible views of Lions Rock. We also did a safari in Minneriya National Park. The park was beautiful and we saw so many elephants plus lots of varieties of birds, golden jackals, monkees, mongoose, the grizzled giant squirrel, buffalo and jungle foul. We also went to Dambula Temple Caves which is very spiritual and Luckgrove Spice Gardens which was an incredible experience. Highly recommend this area.Guest review byHazelIreland - 8.0

It is one of the best locations, slightly hot and humid, but if you love history and sightseeing, you cannot miss this location, further you can travel to multiple historic locations from here, we travelled to Mihinthale Temple and Mahiyangana, the drive was scenic, but Mihinthale will take your breath.Guest review byMohamed ShazlySri Lanka - 10.0

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.Guest review byImanAustralia - 10.0

Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining.
Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. There was also an older gentleman selling Neem & Jamun tree wood containers and tumblers for keeping water in the night and drinking in the morning Neem for better all over health & Jamun for decreasing blood sugar.Guest review byPRATIBHAIndia - 10.0

A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree view points. But if it rains it will ruin your plans. So make sure you depend on weatherly and visit Matale when it shows many continuous sunny days. Even on cloudy forecasts do not visit as all mointain tops then will be covered and you will not see the sights. when it is humid leaches also will be active and will become a painful experience.Guest review byUdanaSri Lanka - 10.0

We reached Kandy after completing tour of pinnawala and ambulawa towers. We also visited Mahabodhi Vihara , from where Kandy lake had a good view. The shopping market at Kandy closed by 7pm, may we missed that.Guest review byJayantIndia - 10.0

A nice hike to view a breathe taking view. If anyone should travel to Sigiriya they should start to climb the rock at 5.30am as the ticket counters open. Wearing proper hiking or workout clothes would be the best.Guest review byGavin RosayroSri Lanka - 10.0
