I was offered Soursop which from the previous reviews there were issues about being forced to drink it. I would not say I was forced but the drink is given to give your body a kick start to wellness treatment to help promote healthy values to your body. the staff were not forceful to me at all. They were so helpful and nice every step of the way. From the massages and great Sri Lanka food to the nutrition drinks and sea turtle watch areas, Hospitality transportation everything was great. Plus on my last day before going home I stepped on sea urchins and everyone there gave me immediate attention to the hospital and making sure I made it to my flight on time. I can not thank them enough for everything. if you ever get a chance to stay here please take advantage of the Chefs cooking and the masses ( because the massage treatment are like no other and actually help promote fat removal if you get the Sauna everyday thru your stay if your staying more than a week. also if your expecting this place to remind you of your regularly living arrangements then you may need to re-evaluate your expectations this place is a wellness resort to get away from noise and to give you peace and serenity and meditation but you can arrange outside tours with groups and local shopping fishing and many excursions as well.Guest review byShantelUnited States

After we switched into a 4x4 we traveled down a bumpy track to the beautiful location amongst the trees and in the middle of the forest. Staff were very helpful getting our bags up to the tree house. The location isn’t for everyone as it’s fairly remote but very close to yala national park. Food at the hotel was great. On the evening we had a BBQ that was outside in a candle lit location. Food was good and service great. The accommodation is amazing but obviously this is glamping and so we had a lizard or two surprise us but was definitely part of the fun. Our main purpose was to go for Safari, and this hotel is perfectly located from Yala National Park. They even packed us breakfast at 5am, so we can take it with us to Safari. Tissamaharama is a fantastic base for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty and rich culture of southern Sri Lanka. It's perfectly located for Yala National Park safaris, offering easy access to incredible wildlife encounters. Beyond the safaris, the town itself has a calm, local vibe with beautiful lakes and ancient temples to discover. You'll find plenty of local restaurants and shops, making it easy to enjoy authentic Sri Lankan experiences. It definitely is an experience worth trying. The tree house has all the comforts you need but yet kept on the simple side. Don't expect much and you will get a lot. Nice food Bbq and big fire lit for you in the evening to give you a chance to relax and talk about your day activities. It was great to be left alone and the silence of the night.
