It is a nice and quiet modern hotel with good facilities. The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and pillows. There is a fridge in the room and and tea making facilities in the lounge area outside the room. We were given two small bottles of water on arrival. The shower works well with good hot water, once you get it adjusted properly. There is a shower screen too, but like all bathrooms in Sri Lanka the bathroom floor still gets wet. The air conditioner works well and the room also has a large ceiling fan. The hotel is well located just 1.6 kilometers from Jaffna Fort and about a kilometre from the rooftop bar at the Jaffna Jetwing Hotel. Breakfast was not included but is available, we did not have breakfast at the hotel. All in all a good place to stay.

    We had a wonderful experience at Old Park Villa from start to finish. Communication with Vijay was excellent, starting weeks before we arrived, and it never stopped. We felt like he would do anything to make our stay the best it could possibly be — and in fact he even found me some passion fruit - in a city and province where it’s definitely not in season. We were happy to meet some of Vijay’s family, including his beautiful fiancé and daughter. The room itself was quiet and comfortable and it was good to have access to the kitchen to prepare breakfast and tea/coffee for ourselves. The villa is a big old house that is full of character and has a pretty garden full of butterflies. The lovely and gentle and thoughtful man who looks after the hotel and grounds, Ahílan, is another special person who made our stay here memorable and comfortable. We loved it there. Thank you all for a great experience. PS. The restaurant down Hospital street, Jaffna Authentic Cuisine JAC - has fabulous food for a reasonable price, and a nice ambience.

    This is a good 3STAR hotel right next to the main Train Station of the historic city of Jaffna. Fairly good rooms for the price you pay. House keeping staff are good, hence the rooms are tidy and well appointed. Service is the strength of this place. A very special thanks to the very efficient stafd at the reception. Ms.Thadsajini and Ms.Ragasini are superb professionals, helpful and always with beautiful smile. They are a strength to this hotle. All staff at breakfast are very efficient and helpful.

    Everything about Gatetrees was great, especially Karna, the manager. I learned many things from our conversations, and enjoyed watching Karna perform the rituals for the first day of Pongal. The rice dish he cooked was very tasty. Karna organized a tuk tuk tour of Jaffna peninsula for me with Sinthu. Sinthu showed me many interesting sights. He also told me about Tamil history and current Jaffna customs. I recommend Gatetrees to anyone.

    I really liked this place. The WiFi worked great. The rooms are clean. Staff is nice and very accommodating. The minibar was a true treat as most places in Sri Lanka don’t offer a mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was tasty. Tv in the room worked and had some English programming available. The hotel’s location is very good as transportation isn’t required to get many items.

    Jaffna is still an unspoiled and hidden gem of a city. People are super friendly and the city is bustling and easy to navigate. There is a beech just outside the city center which is quiet and beautiful. It was very hot when we visited in july but we did not mind this at all.

    Our time at Delft Beachfront Villa was amazing!

    Our time at Delft Beachfront Villa was amazing! They didn't just offer us a free breakfast; they also organized a tuktuk and a knowledgeable guide so we could explore Delft island. The snorkeling they arranged was fantastic. The spot was beautiful, with clear water full of colorful fish and stunning rocks. we were mesmerized by what we saw underwater. Plus, they have bikes available for guests to explore the island on their own. If you looking for a memorable getaway with great hospitality and exciting experiences, Delft beachfront Villa is the place to go. we highly recommend it for anyone who wants a mix of relaxation and adventure!

The villa itself is impeccably maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The interiors are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with modern amenities (like a fully equipped kitchen and cozy bedrooms) that made our stay effortless. But the true star of the show is the outdoor space! The sprawling garden feels like a private oasis, ideal for morning coffees on the patio, leisurely strolls among flowering plants, or evenings grilling under the stars. Our kids loved playing freely in the safe, open area, and we cherished the alfresco dining setup surrounded by nature. Location-wise, it’s a gem—tucked away for privacy yet conveniently close to Keerimalai’s natural springs and a short drive from Jaffna’s cultural sites. The quiet neighborhood added to the restorative vibe, but we never felt isolated. A special shout-out to the host, who was attentive and gracious, offering local tips and ensuring we had everything we needed. Their hospitality truly elevated our experience.     Jaffna is lovely city and it’s a shame we didn’t stay longer. It has changed a lot since our last visit 7 years ago with a lot more development but a shame so many franchises have opened up. It has a nice mix of tourist attractions and yet maintains its charm as a local area. The Rio ice cream is the best! I wish we had more time to enjoy local cuisine.
