One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The whole place is so we'll designed and laid out. Very impressive. Blends nature into the building very well. The staff are fantastic. So friendly. Unfortunately I can't remember the welcoming manager but he was such a nice man. Antony (manager in the restaurant is fantastic and does a great job in looking after you).The lift is a cool little novelty into the hotel. Gave us refreshments on arrival. We stayed here on our last 2 nights of our honeymoon, which the gave us a food platter and 2 free cocktails. Very kind of them. They even gave us a fair well gift. The hotel itself is stunning. Stunning views and facilities. Rooms are very spacious. The monkeys are everywhere so you just need to watch your stuff around the pool but great to watch while floating in the pool. Food is fantastic. I really can't fault this place. We stayed in some great hotels travelling around sri Lanka but coastline Marissa was level above them all. We actually met the hotel co owner who actually took time out to show us a cool boat tour just around the corner and chatted to us about the area and what to do. He is such a nice man and very welcoming. Highly recommend staying here is you had the chance.

From the moment you walk into the hotel, it feels like home. The view of the room was breathtaking, you get to wake up everyday to a beautiful view. The bathroom was spacious and so good. Chandana, the best chef in this world. He made us feel at home and made us the most delicilous breakfast and dinner everyday. The whole staff were super super friendly and welcoming. The pool is really nice and relaxing. 10 mins away from Secret beach which is a walking distance. We will definitely return again. We recommend it 100%. Special place to our hearts❤️

The breakfast was amazing - I love the Sri Lankan breakfast so they made me a Sri Lankan omelette. Highly recommend. Very friendly staff, really kind and went out of their way to help me. I felt like part of the family when I was there but also a valued guest. Good location close to the beach.

The hotel is beautiful inside and out with spacious, modern rooms, a huge comfortable bed and great A/C. The views on to the beach and Hiriketiya bay are some of the best we saw in Sri Lanka. The staff were so attentive and being hotel guests they reserve the best dinners at the beach club part. The breakfast was amazing and we also had lunch there which was delicious and reasonably priced.

Dots Bay House is more than a hostel. I really liked that my dorm bed was basically in its own private mini-suite. I could have easily spent an entire month here, as it's steps away from the beach and has a coworking space and yoga studio. The food was spectacular! I had the best butter paneer of my life, and I was surprised to have such a good pizza in Sri Lanka. The staff was kind and helpful, always checking to make sure my needs were met.

The host family was great, they really take care of you. It was like a mini resort: right on the beach, removed from the street noise, a sweet little bar and outdoor seating area for eating, sun beds, but not large and impersonal.... And the stretch of beach is wide and long with little commercialization. Quite perfect. Room was spacious and bed comfortable enough. And very few people on beach.

The beach is attractive with palm trees and beach bars, however it is very narrow and at high tide there is very little sand available for relaxing. The waves are quite ferocious at times even though the weather was calm and only the strongest and most confident swimmers were able to swim past the breakers and surf, also beware of the jet ski which operates from the area where you access the beach from the hotel, this was an additional menace.

Matara isn't a big town so it is relatively quick to get from A to B. The beach is beautiful. But there aren't that many restaurants in in the town. The Matara Rest House near the fort had good food and drinks and is one of the most worth it dining options nearby. Lemon is also a good option. There are restaurants closer to the touristy spots but those are on the pricier side. snorkeling with turtles is popular in Matara.

Talalla beach is clean and not crowded like many on the South coast of Sri Lanka. Relax all day under the sun and take a dip in to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Not really a surfing beach but the right hand end in front of Talalla Retreat is safe for swimming. Friendly locals and a small supermarket nearby. My favorite spot was definitely the beachfront area right in front of Paradise Beach Club – calm waves, golden sand, and perfect sunsets. I also loved Coconut Hill, just a short walk away, with its panoramic view of the ocean and palm trees. Where I Ate- Most of my meals were at the Paradise Beach Club restaurant, which offered delicious Sri Lankan curries, fresh seafood, and good international choices. For variety, Mirissa has some great little cafés and beach shacks nearby – I especially liked the fresh juices and seafood BBQs along the beach. Mum's Kitchen, Big Belly & All you can eat were equally good. Mirissa is very easy to get around. Most places are within walking distance if you’re staying near the beach. For slightly farther spots like Weligama or Galle, tuk-tuks are everywhere and quite affordable. we booked our car for the entire trip. things to do- Whale watching tours Sunset at Coconut Hill Beach hopping Surfing

Wow! Amazing beach in the world wild ...big city & supermarket is very well...nice temple ,buddhist cultured place ,always smiling people,testify srilankan rice & curry 🍽️ frendly tuk tuk driver.,super fast way bus driver 😃😃
