Everything was perfect, we arrived it was raining the owner was expecting us with umbrellas and helped us down stairs , the room was big enough and comfy beds, the view from the room was amazingggg , the family owning the business is very welcoming and generous. Loved the place and everything. Considering it’s in the forest water pressure for shower was low that’s all.

This has been one of our absolute favorite stays in Sri Lanka. The view was beautiful of the mountains and you can see the train go by. The owner was fantastic, made us the most delicious breakfast and on checkout day we had to leave early and he even sent us a yummy to go breakfast. He was so kind and helpful and even helped us order food delivery the one night we felt too lazy to go back out. Highly recommend!

The wife’s favourite stay in Sri Lanka, heavenly views high up and at one with nature. Nice vibe around the area at night. Staff were great and the breakfast location was stunning and you can see the train high in the hillside opposite.

What a gem. This accommodation is perfect. It has all you need and more which is the perfect view, balcony, and excellent breakfast. on top of that the owner is super nice and helpful, offering tuk tuk rides to town. The location is perfect, too. It is a little off, but the views and quietness are very much worth it. I recommend staying two nights (at least).

A truly magical place, we had the most amazing stay. A unique small boutique hotel up in the mountains with stunning views, wonderful staff and delicious food. The manager, Eranda is so sincere and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. He took us on a walk to the waterfall in the grounds and we had a very informative talk about nature. Such a lovely man. I can't recommend Capoe House enough, it's the nicest place we have ever stayed.

Things I liked: - Incredible view - Great wifi - Incredible interior - Incredible food (and affordable) - amazing staff As a foreign traveler this stay was incredible. The wifi was strong enough for me to hold a couple video calls and the food was chicken kottu was delicious. Chathura was extremely helpful with giving advice for activities to do nearby and he even got me a box of tea as a gift before leaving. This seems to be a newer hotel in the area and I expect in years to come it will become a very popular stay

    Pictures don’t do it any justice! Rooms are plenty big enough and beautiful. Just a fan is okay as it’s a lot cooler up in Ella especially on a night. Great location, very close to the strip but away from all the noise. Rented a scooter through them for 3,000 LKR per day, so very needed for this area so highly recommend it. Lovely guy that runs it, gave us a long list of activities so we had plenty to do! 10/10

    Since there was no one else to stay, the hotel upgraded to a suit. VERY beautiful interiors & exterior with very good taste. Because of no other guests, they took 2h to make our dinner, which was amazing hospitality and was delicious. The area might not be popular but I def recommend to stay here than any other fancy hotels in the highland.

    The place is amazing! We had the room with a private heated pool and the view from there was perfect. The only thing that might be a problem is that the room didn't have air-conditioning, which can be a problem if it's too hot. The service is really top notch! The dinner menu is quite overpriced, the rest was just great!

    The amazing and perfect nature around Ella is getting over exploited. Too many buildings (hotels in particular) are under construction in the delicate hills of Ella, they should protect the environment as the place will loose its magic if it becomes just some kind of shopping mall / tourist centre. The hotels are already enough, no need for more.

    Badulla is an up and coming tourist destination. It has much to offer but for now is excellent for those wishing to spend time in the hills and and away from the razzmatazz of Ella or the tried and tested Nuwara Eliya.

    Almost everything.

    Almost everything. Location was close to Horton Plains and the owners arranged a tuk tuk ride for a nominal fee. Lovely surrounding. Food was tasty and ample given. Really worth it. Owners were friendly and made the guests feel at home.

    Haputale is a breathtaking hill town surrounded by lush tea estates and misty mountains. We stayed at Benito Bungalow by The Serendipity Collection, where the in-house chef prepared fresh and delicious meals every day. The cool climate, scenic views, and peaceful setting made it the perfect place to unwind. It’s quieter and less touristy than other hill stations, which adds to its charm. A true hidden gem in Sri Lanka!

    Even though My stay in Badulla was too short to visit all the beautiful places, the trip to Dunhida waterfall was a great experience, especially for kids. The path to Dunhida might be difficult for someone. I believe it was a very nice experience to walk through the jungle. Once you see the waterfall, you will forget all the tiredness.

    It's a beautiful place on top of the mountains, surrounded by mountains and clouds, just like in a heave. Food was delicious 😋 I can never forget the rice and curry bowl I had at Serenite. It's a perfect place for peace, that relaxes your senses. Ravana waterfall is a must to visit.

    Most of the activities are outside of main Haputale the hiking is wonderful as was our visit to Lipton's seat and the tour of the tea factory. Main Haputale not really much going on but the hotel was perfect after a long day of hiking.
