The staff at check-in was fabulous and very welcoming. He told me everything in detail and was really easy to talk to. The breakfast was super good and the airplugs in the cabin as well. Also did need them as one quest was snoring a bit. Also I liked that I could have a shower before flight.

5 min walk from main city centre, incredibly clean, the area is very very safe. Breakfast is fantastic, serving hot savory options, continental breakfast, sweet cakes, fruit, yoghurt, vegan yoghurt and vegan milk options, good quality coffee, plenty juices/ water. You can even have a glass of sparkling wine with your breakfast. There was no noise from other rooms/the corridor. The hotels interiors are very classy and full of character. The rooms and bathrooms are large and very clean. The staff all speak english.

Nice and nom-weird staff (especially for Baltics standards). Perfect location, walking distance to pretty much all touristic sights and to the train station (not SUPER close but close enough for me) as well as a big mall and many restaurants/cafes and a grocery store. Very big and comfy room, even had a kitchenette. Gym was super small but had enough weights and equipment (and I never saw anyone else try to use it anyway).

    Beautiful gym was one of the best I have ever seen in any hotel, ever - had a cardio room, a fitness room, a cycle studio, and on a separate floor had 2 weights rooms fitted with very high quality weights and free weights equipment - enough to satisfy the most zealous of gym goers! Beautiful and large swimming pool accompanied by not one, not two but three saunas of differing temperatures to suit all guest types including children-friendly atmosphere there as well. Jacuzzi and separate pool off the main pool, with plenty of sun loungers as well ... all-in-all an incredible atmosphere, facilities and experience. There is also full spa facilities there as well for those who want it. Also right next to a beautiful sandy beach! Really incredible stay even though it was the middle of winter!

    We were making the trip from Tallinn to Vilnius and needed a place for the night. This was the perfect stop. Just off of the main road, the hotel portion of the property is a short walk from the beach which can also be seen from the spacious balcony of the room. Clean and comfortable with good WIFI, refrigerator and A/C. A good breakfast was included, ordering from the menu. Price was reasonable for the off-season. Parking directly in front of the hotel.

    All was superb! Ir deserves evaluation of 11. Breakfast very taste, great choice. Restaurant for lunch and dinner can offer good menu. We had family room and layout with separating kids bed is well thought. Spa massages were nice. Pool not crowdy (stayed on weekdays). Kids room for free nice extra bonus. And last but not the least was great, helpful and polite personnel. It was our first stay here but I am sure not the last one.

    A lot of space in the apartment - we had 2 rooms, 1 room with 2 beds for the kids and 1 room with a double bed. There was also a nice bathroom and a little dining area. The property is very nice - you can swim in the river, have breakfast or have a barbecue by the river.

    I believe a truer picture of Latvia is in the regions, regional towns and country areas. In my opinion Latvia has become too 'Riga and Jurmala" centric. Investment in regions needs to be more pronounced.

    There is spa available for day pass £25 for adult for 2.5 hours in Jurmala Spa hotel. No need to book in, walk in welcome. Excellent facilities and kids friendly lots to do. I went twice wile on my trip. Lots of lovely restaurants, bubs and shops to explore for all liking. You can have lovely walk on the beach, it has activitys available and Caffè to enjoy during and view even if it's windy.

    I like the hotel because of its location, cleanliness and customer service at the reception. I did not like the restaurant and its staff because they do not serve enough food at the breakfast even though you pay for it. If you do not go to breakfast early, you only get some leftovers. They do not bring any additional food for missing items.

    Great small town.

    Great small town. Big attractions are the castle; the forest walks for hikers; the nearby outdoor activity centre with kayaking etc; lovely restaurants and cafes - good food but not expensive. Friendly people, courteous drivers, feels very safe to stroll around.

    In march the was not much happening in the town. Rates Varti restaurant was cosy but the dishes were served almost cold. The lunch in the Wolmar Hotel cost only 6 euros beeing well worth it. The Olympic Casino was a strange place for gambling addicts.

    A hidden pearl of Latvia and Old Livonia with an island resort in the middle. Despite being almost 200 km from the seashore the city had an inspiring shore holiday feel with a great beach side island in the middle of the city. Great place to learn about the history and the origin of written Latvian language.

    Have been there probably 5 times, different properties and not always staying the night, sometimes just for a walk, sometimes for lunch, sometimes for the beach or for forest walk. Lilaste is for those who appreciate nature and don't want the pretentious wannabe posh style of Jurmala, but instead just to relax and feel nature and tranquility around you. And it's definitely cleaner than Jurmala.
