Salim and Iman had a dream of a wonderful house, so they just got to work to create this house of wonders. Come to Casa Maravillosa, there's nothing like it in terms of kindness, friendliness, genuine hospitality and dedicated service. Look out the window onto the mountainside blue town, luminous sunset and magnificent morning mist banks. Every object, every picture or fixture tells an intricate, colorful story. Make sure to visit the shop downstairs. The young, energetic, creative operator couple offer the guests what they offer their own beautiful children or their beloved parents. Their leadership motivates the staff to just pamper you in multiple languages and styles. You're going to find it hard to check out without plans for your next check-in.

The hosts of this hotel were all friendly and spoke very good English. We enjoyed talking with Nabil late into the night and drinking Mint tea. The whole hotel is almost finished with renovations. They reopened in the summer of 2023 after making investments into their rooms and increasing the quality during the previous pandemic downtime. I would absolutely stay here again. It is even better than some Riad's we went to. The rooms are small, but that is a tiny tradeoff for the proximity to the Kasbah, great service, and newly renovated property.

Dar Zambar is an amazing hotel. I highly recommend. I stayed here for one night and was pleasantly greeted upon arrival by very friendly staff. I stayed in the single room, it had two beds and a private bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. There was a heater which was perfect to take the edge off as it’s January in the mountains. The linens were clean and fresh and the room and hotel are in pristine condition. Breakfast was an excellent spread of breads, olives, Moroccan cheese, fresh orange juice, mint tea, honey and olive oil. The hotel was conveniently located just below the parking lot so it’s easy to get to from your cab. Just above the Medina, The view from the terrace is beautiful. The blue streets of Chefchauoen are so Instagram worthy. I recommend you eat dinner at Sofias, it’s just behind the main strip, as well at Cafe Clock. Both of these places were recommended by the hotel staff. If you’re looking for professional photos, use Instagram to connect with some local people. bring a nice outfit for photos but running shoes are essential. there are thousands of stairs in the beautiful town. get those legs ready. Ps. A lot of local shop keepers are VERY good at luring you in to their shop where they offer tea. It’s very rude to turn down tea but as you drink they give a big story about their family members making all these rugs and blankets. It could very well be true, however they make it so that you can’t leave with out buying something at an absurd price. DONT GO INTO THE SHOPS. If you do, don’t drink the tea. If you do, get your bargaining boots on and bargain for your life. Look out for Chez Abdul. Have fun!

Hotel Parador was a very nice surprise located near the main square, with parking and an elevator! We had 2 rooms reserved and when we checked in they had upgraded us to 2 suites. The suites were very nice and spacious and the bathrooms had toiletries. The views from the pool patio was awesome! You can’t beat the value and convenience of this hotel. Walking with a cane, the location was perfect for someone with reduced mobility. My family and I enjoyed our stay. Inshallah we hope to return.

well .. it was good enough for the value you pay here... the breakfast is good, you'd get almost everything, unfortunately you gotta pay few extra Dirhams for eggs, still fair I guess. the pool is bigger than I expected, clean, secured, with all facilities. you can order lunch or dinner, the lady cooks good and delicious. don't expect a daily cleaning of your room, you've to keep it comfy.

Picturesque but very touristy and an excess of street vendors selling many crafts which likely come from China (are not made locally). Extremely hot when we went in July. Very important to get a decent guest house with air conditioning. 2 days is more than enough.

Yes, it's touristy, but it's so particular with all its blue buildings, in the midst of beautiful nature, that it's a must. Be prepared to climb a few hills! Favourite restaurant: The Twins in the square. Had a few good meals just people watching, and really cheap!

Gorgeous city tucked into a hillside.

Gorgeous city tucked into a hillside. We enjoyed the drive from Tangier. Fabulous city for photos (all the gorgeous shades of blue!). We took a cooking class at Cafe Clock - fun, intimate and we made tons of breads an pastries. For us 1.5 days was plenty of time to explore and enjoy. It's a little bit touristy in areas but worth the visit! one of my friends thoroughly enjoyed a massage and bath at a Hamman too.
