The check-in was at 14h but we were able to request a check-in two hours earlier. Once we entered Karim welcomed us with a wide smile, he offered to help with the luggage, then he proposed tea and coffee as we wait for all the rooms to be ready, he ended up bringing us a small welcome breakfast (first picture). The rooms are clean and wide, the first terrasse has a beautiful mountain view, on the Spanish mosque, the upper terrasse has a panoramic view on the many mountains surrounding chaoun, kalaa, sokna, dardara ... The staff are very welcoming, I had access to the dryer to dry my clothes from the snowy mountain 😂. We had full access to the kitchen. Picturesque but very touristy and an excess of street vendors selling many crafts which likely come from China (are not made locally). Extremely hot when we went in July. Yes, it's touristy, but it's so particular with all its blue buildings, in the midst of beautiful nature, that it's a must. Be prepared to climb a few hills! Gorgeous city tucked into a hillside. We enjoyed the drive from Tangier. Fabulous city for photos (all the gorgeous shades of blue!). We took a cooking class at Cafe Clock - fun, intimate and we made tons of breads an pastries. For us 1.5 days was plenty of time to explore and enjoy.
