There were a few restaurants in close proximity and it was good to support the locals. Host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Suggest, if you don't speak the local lingo, ask host to organise your taxi to the apartment if you need one. Was an easy walk to the airport for our flight the next day. Super close for our last night after two weeks of travel. The upper porch was such a lovely spot to relax. Our host met us outside where our taco dropped us and got us settled immediately.

Staying at Maison Mamdy Rooftop was one of the most heartwarming and memorable parts of our trip to Morocco. From the very first moment, the host Younes made us feel like part of his own family. He is not only extremely welcoming and kind, but also genuinely caring—always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time, both at his place and throughout our travels in Morocco. Younes went above and beyond, giving us fantastic local advice on where to eat and visit nearby. His hospitality was exceptional, from the delicious breakfasts (a real treat for anyone with a sweet tooth!) to the thoughtful gesture of arranging an early breakfast on the day we started our desert tour. We were also able to leave our car safely near the house with no issues at all, which was a big relief compared to the hectic and sometimes stressful parking situation in the Medina center. The house itself is calm, clean, and very comfortable—a peaceful contrast to the busier parts of Marrakech. If you're traveling with a car, this is truly the ideal place to stay. The area may seem quiet and a bit under construction in parts, but it felt completely safe, and we had no problems at all. There’s even a big shopping mall with a large supermarket just 10 minutes away by car, which was very convenient. The rooftop view of the Atlas Mountains was breathtaking, and sitting there in the mornings or evenings was simply magical. Every detail of our stay was filled with warmth, and Younes and his family gave us a beautiful introduction to the genuine kindness and hospitality of Moroccan people. We are deeply thankful to Younes—his kindness and generosity truly touched our hearts. This was not just a place to sleep, but an experience we will always carry with us. One of the best memories from our entire trip!

We did not pick the breakfast option. The 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment was perfect for two couples plenty of room with dedicated space outside for both dining and a soft seating area as well. Also an additional shared space with a kitchen, table and chairs and another soft seating area. And the apartment had all the facilities for making coffee/tea and a light breakfast. everything else was just perfect, the hosts were super friendly despite the French/English language barrier but we managed with google translate. Wi-Fi was great and worked both in the apartment and on the terrace. A surprising bonus was a tortoise who came to see us in the morning while we had coffee. I’m not sure whether it was all the plants and small trees in pots on the patio areas but once you came in off the noisy street, it was perfectly quiet in the apartment and on the terrace

This was a family holiday with my 3 children and husband, the apartment was amazing modern and very clean.The host was extremely helpful and friendly. Location was spot on away from all the hustle and bustle. Ysl museum and garden was just a 7 minute walk. And right out side the ysl garden you can pick a ride taxi or horse and carriage they all line up out side .which was amazing.i used to get my ride from there. Jame al fana ,carre eden , Jewish quarters,spice Market, Bahiya Palace all were just 5 to 10 min drive .I would get a grand taxi with out any problem from outside the ysl museum or horse and carriage. It was amazing. To top it all off just below the apartment there is an amazing cafe/restaurant called the la palma the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Communication was easy as they spoke and understood English very well. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Would love to visit again.and the best was that we had a masjid right next to us so praying in the masjid was amazing too.local supermarket and shops on the same road as the apartment just a few steps away. Truly had an amazing time .my children loved it.A big Thankyou to the host from us all.
