- From $258.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 410 reviewsThe Riad Kaala 1 and Kaala 2 are equally fabulous! We had a fantastic stay in Kaala 2 where we had an executive suite with terrace, airco and one floor up a shared wonderful rooftop with a tiny swimming pool and panoramic view. The staff is extremely kind and they do more than their best to satisfy the clients. The restaurant that is located in Kaala 1 is excellent.Guest review bywillemCuraçao

Rabat is a lovely place to stay that has that old-world charm but still feels like you are in a safe place. My husband and I stayed a week and we never felt in danger. The people speak Arabic and French, and English is not spoken very much. The money was easy enough to understand. We visited the kasbah, which offers a lovely view of the ocean. There is also a museum of jewelry and antiquities. I am a jewelry maker so this was especially interesting to me. There is a lovely cafe that serves fresh juice, coffee and tea. Other places we visited were the modern museum, Saint Peter's Cathedral and the Chellah. Chellah was especially interesting, as it is a ruin that used to be a Roman city. Beautiful views of Rabat and Sala as well as a cafe that served delicious food and lemonades. Rabat's residents are mostly muslim so there are very few places to buy alcohol or restaurants that serve alcohol. We went to an Italian place called Le Mamma's that serves wine and beer. The restaurants in the riad are lovely too. They serve typical Moroccan food and often have music. There are not that many tourists that go to this city, so it's well preserved and doesn't have the annoyance of too many tourists. Morocco is to host a few World Cup games so that might not be the case in a few years. So if you're going to go, go now before it becomes another tourist place like Merekesh or Fez. Lastly, what takes the cake is the lovely people. They are friendly, kind and will help you find your way if you get lost. They have little but they give you everything. This is truly a place with a soul.Guest review byLiz F.Ireland - 10.0

Rabat gets a poor showing in tourist guides and recommendations but I adore the place. I've been there five times now and will be going back again soon. It definitely off the main tourist trail and not overloaded with monuments but the atmosphere is very tranquil and friendly. By Moroccan standards it's clean and orderly with beautiful gardens and a great beach and shoreline with the Bouregreg separating it from its twin but much older sister town Sale with its traditional ambience and modest understated feel. Rabat is big enough to call itself a city (it is the capital after all) but friendly and homely enough to have the air of a provincial town. It is a safe place to be and prices are fixed and fair so there is no having to haggle or lohg unpleasant faces and scowls if you decide not to buy something. People are friendly and hospitable and it has some great places for home cooking!Guest review byNicholasSpain - 10.0
Rabat is very clean and smell fresh every day.
Rabat is very clean and smell fresh every day. The people are humble, smart and respectful. I got my food from restaurants and supermarkets. Moving around was not difficult because of so many taxis and the tram train coupled with well lit streets at night.Guest review byEdwardZimbabwe
