Lots of building works. In 5 - 10 years this place will be like the Bali of Morrocco. Some really nice chilled cafes and restaurants, some attached to hotels. There are some great surf spots within a short drive and good value restaurants. Beyond this, there is not much to do. The neighboured seems safe though is a little dirty. There are some very friendly locals though it feels like most just want to make money out of you rather than have a genuine interaction. Interesting town with souks and a historical setting where Ali Baba the original film was shot . A local man attached himself to us and ended up giving an informal guided tour. The restaurant we had a lunch was tasty and not expensive. Great little town where you can stock up on food, souvenirs and get petrol. Locals are super friendly and laid back and things that we bought at the market were definitely cheaper than we found in Taroudant. Hiking must be awesome but we didn't have enough time. Imi ouaddar isn’t a true representation of what I think Morocco is like. It’s soulless, lacks charm and I would recommend visiting somewhere else if asked. There were excellent markets around the hotel area - I picked up some real bargains. The large supermarket was good and has a cash machine. I was only staying one night before my flight so didnt venture out very far, Cab to the airport was 200mads.Guest review bySharon - 10.0
Agadir was lovely.
Agadir was lovely. Our hotel -Petit Palace Suites was beautiful and the smell inside was amazing! Staff were also very friendly and kind. It was approximately 20 mins walk to the beach. There are things to do like walk along the seafront, walk around the Marina, shop, eat! We booked trips like quad biking, day trip to Marakech, Fantasia dinner and show (they give you SO much food. It was tasty but too much!) Moroccan Haman and massage. For all the trips they pick you up from your hotel which is very convenient. You should also download an app called inDrive which is a kind of Uber equivalent which allows you to order a taxi or a private hire car and you can place an offer (amount) for the fare which the driver can choose to accept or not.
