The beds were also wonderfully comfortable and the showers were amazing. They helped in little ways like making some postcards for us and letting us store our bags for a few hours after check out. The Blue City was frantic and filled with tourists not really interested in the Medina, i don't know how the vendors made any money, it was too crowded to stop and shop.
This endless stream of overdressed self-absorbed visitors (influencers) posing for Instagram is out of control; Every place that gets on the tourist map has this plague.
Parking options in the town are very limited, beware of being directed to a bad spot by parking assistants. I would not go back.

Tetouan has several museums well worth visiting. The old medina is an experience in its own right, alleys opening in to small squares on which sit cafes to take a coffee or mint tea. The people of Tetouan are kind, helpful and accommodating to those visiting their city.

The medina was really nice to wander through and we liked the fact that it went right down to the ocean. The murals on the walls made it unique and it was nice to discover new ones. The small beach was easy to get to and it was easy from Asilah to get to the airport. A nice stay which was a very different experience to staying in Tangier

Martil has a beautiful beach with golden sand and it is a great option to spend summer vacation, safe, people are friendly, and there is so much to do nearby like vising Cabo negro, Tres Peidras, Jebha, Chefchaouen, Tangier and other great places in northern Morocco. There's a wide range of food variety from Mediterranean to Asian and it is very affordable.

I already went to the hotel with my colleagues for a conference, and I liked the venue so much that I wanted to take my kids there, too. The place is large and very welcoming. The view of the pool, gardens and sea is really breathtaking. The rooms are large and comfortable. The included breakfast is really good and the service is excellent.
There are two little things I did not expect, which disturbed me a little but would not change my positive opinion of the place. First, during the check-in, I was asked to add a further amount than what was proposed on my booking, as a deposit for any extra service I may ask for. Because I wasn't ready for that, I didn't have the full amount on me, so that was a bit awkward and uncomfortable for me. I had to sit in the lounge and figure out a way to have the missing amount transferred to my bank account. On the check-out, I was told that they'd return the deposit amount to my account, which hasn't happened yet, so I'll have to wait and see. I would have appreciated knowing about this procedure here on booking.com to avoid the unpleasant surprise on the spot.
The second thing was a small leak in the toilet. I would have appreciated some sort of a mop or cleaning towel ready and available in the bathroom, meanwhile the leak gets fixed, so that I would manage the leak before it built up and avoid having to ask or wait for the hotel cleaner to show up.
Having said this, I'm still very happy with my stay at the hotel, rank it 10, would definitely go back there and recommend it to my relatives and friends.

The ancient site of Lixus is amazing and makes going to Larache worthwhile. The Plaza Espana in the modern town is very atmospheric. There are a few rather run-down hotels in this area. The Medina is quite small and easy to navigate - but it is very squalid.
A daytrip from Asilah to Larache and Lixus would be the best bet - overnight is difficult.

Tanger is one of the best cities in the world. The coastline meets Rio de Janeiro, the inner city is cultural heritage that keeps on stunning you around every corner, the choice of food is great, the views are breathtaking.
