Great destination for romantic holiday.
Great destination for romantic holiday. Good restaurants, a lot of clean beaches, good size town, everything was accessible by foot, but enough things to see. A lot of stairs and climbing. Bijela is a nice small town, with many shops and restaurants (though prices there are pretty similar to Austrian!). The sea view is fine, but they REALLY lack of wastewater plant. Though this is not specific to Bijela, the whole Kotor bay suffers from water pollution, and from not nice odors near beaches. With the only exception of Herceg Novi. Despite that it is much bigger than Bijela and than most of other places in the bay, the water there is also much cleaner. I believe this is not only because they are located at the entrance to the bay, but also because this is the only town with the sewage processing station in the bay. The rest was amazing, town has everything I was needed -- shops, car rental, public transport connection. The nature and people are amazing!Guest review byPavelAustria - 8.0

A very small peaceful place in the Kotor Bay.
A very small peaceful place in the Kotor Bay. We were there in August and there was no public events, parties, or other entertaining options. You have only few local stores, a bakery, few restaurants, and a beach to enjoy. The only road leading through Prcanj is pretty very stressful to drive it. It is very narrow and windy with blind corners and yes, count with many stops and much longer ride because of busy traffic. Stunning scenery.
Stunning scenery. We were told that the Old Town of Kotor would get busy when a cruise ship was in town, but this didn't really have the impact we expected. Certainly quieter after 6pm when the ships have gone but manageable before that. We took a speed-boat trip which was a great idea. There are more sedate boat trips too. Staying a 15-minute walk outside of the Old Town, in the Dobrota neighbourhood was a great choice. Local supermarket and cafes very very close, and the water less than two minutes walk. Walk the Kotor Ladder path in the early morning before the sun peeks over the hill for absolutely incredible views over the whole bay.
