Great destination for romantic holiday. Good restaurants, a lot of clean beaches, good size town, everything was accessible by foot, but enough things to see. A lot of stairs and climbing. Bijela is a nice small town, with many shops and restaurants (though prices there are pretty similar to Austrian!). The sea view is fine, but they REALLY lack of wastewater plant. Though this is not specific to Bijela, the whole Kotor bay suffers from water pollution, and from not nice odors near beaches. With the only exception of Herceg Novi. Despite that it is much bigger than Bijela and than most of other places in the bay, the water there is also much cleaner. I believe this is not only because they are located at the entrance to the bay, but also because this is the only town with the sewage processing station in the bay. A very small peaceful place in the Kotor Bay. We were there in August and there was no public events, parties, or other entertaining options. You have only few local stores, a bakery, few restaurants, and a beach to enjoy. The only road leading through Prcanj is pretty very stressful to drive it. It is very narrow and windy with blind corners and yes, count with many stops and much longer ride because of busy traffic. The Old Town is cute, but really not that special (Budva, for instance, is nicer, and so are many Croatian coastal towns). It is completely overflowed with tourists everywhere, it's expensive, and at night-time the music is extremely loud until very late.
