Super comfy bed & spacious room & patio which we enjoyed every night w/wine that we chilled in the fridge. Staff were ALL exemplary- good helpful advice. Room was dark & silent w/blackout drapes. Plenty of plugs for all our devices. Didn't need any adapters. And enough elevators so we never had to wait more than 5 seconds.

Actually we had great experience ->
1. Room was quiet & with Balcony (pay a little extra for sea view or partly sea view),
2. Bus stop right next to the hotel - easy access,
3. Nearby there are 9-10 rated restaurants some of them are definitely a must go! (Texas BBQ burgers, Ocean Basket & others)
4. Lovely & helpfull staff.
5. Ferries are nearby (local port) and the main port ~ 20 min (by car)
6. A HUGE bonus - we had an afternoon flight and hotel let's you use all of their amenities even after you check-out 10AM
Pool, Indoor Pool, Gym, Showers, Towels etc. Which makes it to amazing last day of stay before plane.

Excellent location in St.Julian’s, walking distance close to 2 public transportation bus stops (Spinola Bay and Ross) great clean spacious rooms, modern bathrooms, nice balcony with either marina or bay view (both sides) peaceful environment with sufficient distance from night clubs (still conveniently close), great selection of breakfast offerings, nice sea-water pool, clean beach extending to Spinola bay. Definitely a top level and great value choice!!!

The hotel is centrally located in Mellieha, just a 2-minute walk from public transportation, making it easy to reach all the major attractions in Malta. We were upgraded to a room with a breathtaking view, and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive—when my son fell ill during our stay, they checked in several times to see how he was doing. We’ll definitely return to Solana Hotel if we come back to Malta.

All the staff were exceptionally helpful and professional, from the front desk to the housekeeping crew. I had a self-catering room with an amazing view, perfect for a month's stay with work commitments. Location is perfect from hotel to Meliha bay, and they have an option to blue lagoon. Pool was perfect with sea water. Hotel has an offer for the guests who stays more than 3 nights, 20% discount on dinner and breakfast. My advice is not to miss this.

I really enjoyed my stay. The location is perfect, close to shops, restaurants, and bus stops, which made getting around very convenient. The host, John, was very accommodating and made the experience even better. Overall, my stay was excellent, and I will definitely stay here again.

A town center was like a construction site, that's because I wasn't impressed. Because of the same reason a traffic of buses was irregular. There are no good beaches at the town. I mean mostly sand beaches, but stone ones are as well not awesome. However there were several good shops at the town as well several good restaurants. I could advise a state aquarium of Malta which is situated at St Paul's Bay.

Valletta is a nice old city with plenty of museums and items of historical interest. There are some nice walks as well. There's a good variety of restaurants and cafes with local and international options. The Anglo Maltese bistro on Merchants St was particularly good. It's easy to get buses or boats to travel around.

Great little town, with easy acces to the beach and public transport options to discover the rest of the island. Great sides to visit in and around town, be mindful of all the stairs, lots if up- and downhill in town. A good variety of restaurants on offer, with supermarkets for other daily needs. There is a bus that goes to the airport (approx. 1hr 20min)

Walking round the harbour (right side as you face it from the main bus stop) there are a number of constructed salt pans designed to provide a home for sea life when the tide is out which was really interesting to see. A bit further along was a newly renovated fort, St Thomas Tower, which had an incredibly interesting history focusing on piracy and the corsairs!
The only downside to staying in Marsaskala was the extensive work being carried out on the harbour front itself which blocked the lovely view while sitting in the cafes.

Not your normal seaside holiday resort.
Not your normal seaside holiday resort. The freeport as a back drop can be a bit of a shock but is soon overlooked. The Village is quaint with ample facilities, but not the place for people looking for nightlife. Lovely. Great time had by all our family.

Msida looks like a good midway point between Valleta and...
Msida looks like a good midway point between Valleta and Sliema, but it's really a residential neighborhood with not much to offer to someone coming to Malta for vacation.
In between the constant construction and abandoned and derelict houses, it's quite unsightly.
On the flip-side, since it's residential, you get some good local spots with affordable prices and great quality.

Cospicua itself is nothing special, apart from the waterfront and the fortifications. However, it is well situated for exploring Senglea, Birgu and Valletta. Easy to access bus routes to explore other parts of the island, and close to the Valletta ferry. Great choice of restaurants and bars for a variety of cuisines and to suit different budgets.
