- From ZAR 4,648.69 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 3,187 reviewsSince we arrived at the Pergola Hotel we were extremely welcomed. Rouselle, the receptionist, was so friendly, kind and mainly patient with us and all ours doubts. Also helped us to choose the best excursions to the others islands. We got very thankful. About the room, it was very comfortable with kitchen utilities. We enjoyed a lot spending time at night drinking some wine while felt the Mediterranean brease (an amazing vibe). The hotel is perfect, very well located, with many restaurants around for all kind of travelers. There are 3 swimming pools in the hotel and all are very clean. It has a big restaurant and also a bar beside the outdoor pool, an amazing place to stay and see the day goes out. A good thing is that the hotel has a lot of discounts and promos you can enjoy anywhere, both in restaurant services and outside the restaurant. The Melieha Bay is perfect to go with kids or only laydown and relax the sun/sea. The spa also deserves a word. I had one of the best experiences I have had in a Spa. As a masseur, I'm used to receive massages but nothing like what I had here. I also was very welcomed by Onidia, she explained everything about the massages I would like and helped us to get the best experience. She also showed us the spa and the amazing products they use, impossible don't enjoy the spa services. We chose hydrobath massage with a glass of prosecco (we highly recommend, mainly for couples - so relaxing and romantic) and the Enchanted Aromas Getaway spa experience. The massage room was prepered for both of us and the masseurs (Melrose and Katherine) was very gently and made the massages in the pressure that we asked. Beyond all of these, we felt so happy cause the hotel is very gay friendly. In our room they had the care to leave the spa folder personalized with a gay couple and we, as a woman couple, felt very well with. Once again, thanks a lot for the amazing experience.Guest review byPriscillaBrazil

Room was quiet & with Balcony (pay a little extra for sea view or partly sea view), 2. Bus stop right next to the hotel - easy access, 3. Nearby there are 9-10 rated restaurants some of them are definitely a must go! (Texas BBQ burgers, Ocean Basket & others) 4. Lovely & helpfull staff. 5. Ferries are nearby (local port) and the main port ~ 20 min (by car) 6. A HUGE bonus - we had an afternoon flight and hotel let's you use all of their amenities even after you check-out 10AM Pool, Indoor Pool, Gym, Showers, Towels etc. Which makes it to amazing last day of stay before plane. We recommend!Guest review byRolandsLatvia

At first I was scared this was going to be some kind of party area of the city, but luckily I was wrong. At night, it was very quiet except for the promenade. So it was a really good location because you could have your quiet but also enjoy the lively environment of the sea promenade if you wished so by just walking a few hundred meters. Regarding transportations, it was super easy to come around, with all the buses to major destination in just a half kilometer-one kilometer radius, but be mindful that traffic in Malta is kind of heavy and to go to any other municipality it takes quite longer than you would expect (for instance, to go from St. Julian to Mdina it took my almost 1h and 30 minutes, even though they are actually so close)Guest review byAnaSpain - 10.0
The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great.
The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great. They even provided a separate towel to lie on. This was a small cost for the use of it all day. The bar and restaurant weren’t part of our hotel but just a stones throw, so perfect. Lots of rocks to lie on and ladders used in parts to get into the sea. St. Paul’s Bay is a pretty town with shops, restaurants, and beachside cafes, easy to get around using ferry and Uber.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Location is great, it is in a quiet street, close to the promenade and also a supermarket. 10 minutes slow walk to the ferry. Great location. Room has aircon but not the bath it was advertised with. Room was small, really small, but some other rooms are bigger. View was of a tower block with everyone looking in, so curtains were never opened. No work space as fridge was on worktop. Staff are attentive when I texted them as I never met any of them during my stay. A great hotel, a little over priced for what I got and some decent pillows would be a great investment, over the flat pilow and cushion I had to use.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

There were so many things to do and sights to see, that it is difficult to single one out. A friend who knows Malta well gave us a very long list, and we did our very best to to a few of them. Favourite places? The trip by boat around the harbours and creeks, the Cathedral, the archaeological museum, the numerous restaurants and bars, the architecture... I could go on and on. If you go further afield, go the the Rotunda at Mosta, the citadel at Mdina and the catacombs at Rabat. We found the local buses excellent and used them a lot! A trip to Gozo on the fast ferry from Valletta is also a must! What a fabulous week!Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Malta offers a good public transport, so it is so easy to move around. There are plenty of bars and resturants. Beautiful sea and places of interests to visit via public transport. I really love St. Julians town and its landscape. Cruising Gomo and Goso is very ineresting too.Guest review byadedotunUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed...
Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed enormously in the last 25 years, I think it is still one of the most charming parts of Malta. There are dozens of bars and restaurants, a fair few of which I have visited and every one was excellent. I could not fault the village in any way I would certainly recommend this as a holiday destination. Although very hilly, I believe that is part of its charm and I have stayed in other parts of Malta, all of which have their own attraction.Guest review byMcLennan - 8.0
Enough restaurants to choose.
Enough restaurants to choose. Really nice beaches and very safe circumstansies for a walk in the municipalitiy. Well equiepped shops, kind staff anywhere. Buses are clean and fast, we were satisfied with them. Missing some cultural evenings (e.g. concerts) - our stay was at the end of September. But maybe at main time (June-August) they would be available, please check it. Small town with a very good beaches, they makes us feel happy.Guest review byKrisztinaSlovakia - 8.0

Msida is a great location to stay being perfectly placed to visit the busy areas of Valletta, Sliema and St Julian's. The marina is amazing with some of the best restaurants in Malta just a short distance away on foot or by Uber or Bolt. Buses run to all parts of the island from stops within walking distance of the centre. Breakfast at the Busy Bee in Msida is a must as is a visit to their ice cream parlour in the evening.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Not your normal seaside holiday resort.
Not your normal seaside holiday resort. The freeport as a back drop can be a bit of a shock but is soon overlooked. The Village is quaint with ample facilities, but not the place for people looking for nightlife. Lovely. Great time had by all our family.Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Cospicua is a place for quiet people.
Cospicua is a place for quiet people. It is a good base for travelling. Ferry to Valletta is good there and back. Bormla has buses to everywhere. A round island tour is great for sightseeing and you see more. The fruits confections and bakeries are very very succulent. I liked the soil in Malta`s fields with people in them and crops, a great change from Spanish islands bare lava environment.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom
