- From $269.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 3,186 reviewsSince we arrived at the Pergola Hotel we were extremely welcomed. Rouselle, the receptionist, was so friendly, kind and mainly patient with us and all ours doubts. Also helped us to choose the best excursions to the others islands. We got very thankful. About the room, it was very comfortable with kitchen utilities. We enjoyed a lot spending time at night drinking some wine while felt the Mediterranean brease (an amazing vibe). The hotel is perfect, very well located, with many restaurants around for all kind of travelers. There are 3 swimming pools in the hotel and all are very clean. It has a big restaurant and also a bar beside the outdoor pool, an amazing place to stay and see the day goes out. A good thing is that the hotel has a lot of discounts and promos you can enjoy anywhere, both in restaurant services and outside the restaurant. The Melieha Bay is perfect to go with kids or only laydown and relax the sun/sea. The spa also deserves a word. I had one of the best experiences I have had in a Spa. As a masseur, I'm used to receive massages but nothing like what I had here. I also was very welcomed by Onidia, she explained everything about the massages I would like and helped us to get the best experience. She also showed us the spa and the amazing products they use, impossible don't enjoy the spa services. We chose hydrobath massage with a glass of prosecco (we highly recommend, mainly for couples - so relaxing and romantic) and the Enchanted Aromas Getaway spa experience. The massage room was prepered for both of us and the masseurs (Melrose and Katherine) was very gently and made the massages in the pressure that we asked. Beyond all of these, we felt so happy cause the hotel is very gay friendly. In our room they had the care to leave the spa folder personalized with a gay couple and we, as a woman couple, felt very well with. Once again, thanks a lot for the amazing experience.Guest review byPriscillaBrazil
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 5,477 reviews- Amazing hotel in a Great location (aprox. 25 mns drive from La Valetta & Gozo/Comino ferries). - Quiet place - Far from the noise & parties of St Julian's. - The rooms are great (I slept in both "standard" & "Deluxe" as I got upgraded due to a problem with the noise of the AC in the first one) - there's not much difference between both types of room, if you don't know which one to chose, here are the differences: the decoration (one is white, one is black) & there's less storage for the clothes in the "Deluxe" one... Honestly, apart from that, everything's the same: the bed, the shower, the amenities, the balcony... - Staff is nice and very reactive if you have any request/problem. - The rooftop pools are amazing. I can't speak for the other ones as I didn't use them. - The breakfast is delicious (eggs, ham, turkey, tomates, cucumbers, croissants, cereals, milks, coffee, juices... You name it). - Great restaurants surrounding the hotel - 2 italians, 1 "american", 1 mexican... They're all good.Guest review byPaulineFrance
- From $216.05 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,785 reviewsOf course we expect a good experience staying at a Hilton chain..... The reality after 3 nights were just exceptional. Big Hotel = Big crowd. Somehow they got it perfect in just about everything. Big sumptuous breakfast, Super clean, Great staff, Large room.... 5 stars all the way. Now, the 6th STAR : We needed to check out very early for our flight.... So We settled bill etc the evening before..... To our surprised, they offered to pack some breakfast to take away.... It was simple stuff but the gesture was an icing on the cake. We've stayed in hundreds of Hotels, this was the first time We'd been offered Packed breakfast. Kudos to the management! Can't recommend highly enough.Guest review byCarryAustralia
- From $177.35 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,428 reviewsThe location is excellent, on the quiet part of the peninsula. There are many shops, restaurants, in the evening it is nice to walk by the sea. Our suite was large and clean on the 7th floor overlooking the street. However, it has good insulation and you can sleep in silence. The apartment is air-conditioned, the kitchen has everything needed for cooking.Guest review byJanevskaNorth Macedonia

At first I was scared this was going to be some kind of party area of the city, but luckily I was wrong. At night, it was very quiet except for the promenade. So it was a really good location because you could have your quiet but also enjoy the lively environment of the sea promenade if you wished so by just walking a few hundred meters. Regarding transportations, it was super easy to come around, with all the buses to major destination in just a half kilometer-one kilometer radius, but be mindful that traffic in Malta is kind of heavy and to go to any other municipality it takes quite longer than you would expect (for instance, to go from St. Julian to Mdina it took my almost 1h and 30 minutes, even though they are actually so close)Guest review byAnaSpain - 8.0

Sliema is very nice location, but having only very rocky beaches. There are many restaurants and coffee bars, the food is good, but not cheap at all. You could walk along the seaside many kilometers- on both directions (La Valletta and St. Julian).Guest review byFilipovic - 10.0
The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great.
The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great. They even provided a separate towel to lie on. This was a small cost for the use of it all day. The bar and restaurant weren’t part of our hotel but just a stones throw, so perfect. Lots of rocks to lie on and ladders used in parts to get into the sea. St. Paul’s Bay is a pretty town with shops, restaurants, and beachside cafes, easy to get around using ferry and Uber.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

There were so many things to do and sights to see, that it is difficult to single one out. A friend who knows Malta well gave us a very long list, and we did our very best to to a few of them. Favourite places? The trip by boat around the harbours and creeks, the Cathedral, the archaeological museum, the numerous restaurants and bars, the architecture... I could go on and on. If you go further afield, go the the Rotunda at Mosta, the citadel at Mdina and the catacombs at Rabat. We found the local buses excellent and used them a lot! A trip to Gozo on the fast ferry from Valletta is also a must! What a fabulous week!Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 6.0

I like to stay in Gzira, but to travel from here to other destinations in Malta. Gzira is noisy, dusty, too much traffic. Good enough to stay to sleep and to travel/swim/visit anywhere else in Malta. Gzira = good base for trips.Guest review byPAVELCzech Republic - 10.0
Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed...
Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed enormously in the last 25 years, I think it is still one of the most charming parts of Malta. There are dozens of bars and restaurants, a fair few of which I have visited and every one was excellent. I could not fault the village in any way I would certainly recommend this as a holiday destination. Although very hilly, I believe that is part of its charm and I have stayed in other parts of Malta, all of which have their own attraction.Guest review byMcLennan - 8.0
Enough restaurants to choose.
Enough restaurants to choose. Really nice beaches and very safe circumstansies for a walk in the municipalitiy. Well equiepped shops, kind staff anywhere. Buses are clean and fast, we were satisfied with them. Missing some cultural evenings (e.g. concerts) - our stay was at the end of September. But maybe at main time (June-August) they would be available, please check it. Small town with a very good beaches, they makes us feel happy.Guest review byKrisztinaSlovakia - 8.0

Msida is a great location to stay being perfectly placed to visit the busy areas of Valletta, Sliema and St Julian's. The marina is amazing with some of the best restaurants in Malta just a short distance away on foot or by Uber or Bolt. Buses run to all parts of the island from stops within walking distance of the centre. Breakfast at the Busy Bee in Msida is a must as is a visit to their ice cream parlour in the evening.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Not your normal seaside holiday resort. The freeport as a back drop can be a bit of a shock but is soon overlooked. The Village is quaint with ample facilities, but not the place for people looking for nightlife. Lovely. Great time had by all our family.Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom - 6.0
