- From $932.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,556 reviewsVery attentive and kind staff. They were constantly stopping by to ask how our stay was going and give assistance. It was truly luxury, I appreciated the attention they gave to even the little details. Also was very relaxing with a beautiful view, coconuts and drinks at hand and had the calm and peaceful vibe going on. Yoga classes in the morning by the beach, there was always something going on and I loved that There were lots lots and lots of activities to do at the resort, many of which were complimentary so you were never bored. They even organised treasure hunts for prizes like free cocktails or massages.Guest review byPearlUnited Arab Emirates
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 404 reviewsVery natural and serene location. Green, charming and eye catching. Convenient and stylish lodges, open air shower and pools. Kept closed to residents only, so feels like you almost on your own there. Great view at sunset from the bar atop the hill. Staff are best from what you could expect. A-la-carte menu and wine list in the main restaurant is fairly good and actually one could spend a few days without leaving the premises (we stayed for 2 nights). All-in-all makes your stay memorable and we will stay here again for a part of our journey next year.Guest review byAlexeiRussia
- From $246.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 776 reviewsFirst of all, I want to thank the resort for hiring great staff such as "Megha and Jarvin" Megha has the nicest smile and welcoming, she helped me a lot and made me feel at home, I'm sure I'll be coming back specially for her. As for Jarvin, he helped me arrange my activities outside the resort, he helped getting me a great taxi driver, who became a friend as well, sorry Jarvin if I gave you hard times with my late requests. Thank you everyone at Outrigger, you made my week really memorable, looking forward to visit again!Guest review byQueenBSaudi Arabia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 904 reviewsSimply amazing. Special tks to Joël (concierge) for the more than welcome reception as well as for coordinating tours. Have dinner at Umami and Dina are a must do. At Umami, delicious Omakase menu. At Dina, Selvem (waiter) was super friendly with super service provided. Paco (waiter) at pool area super attentive to us. In a nutshell, amazing people running the biz. Spectacular landscape.Guest review byStephanSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 458 reviewsUnique and stunning accommodation. We wanted to stay somewhere more interesting than one of the massive Mauritian chain hotels and this place blew us away. The breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL- farm fresh and delivered to your private cottage. We made a lovely fire at our cottage and watched the sun set. Also incredibly convenient location to the Charmel waterfall and ebony forest and Le Morne.Guest review byEleanorUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 672 reviewsOn Arrival, of their own accord, they upgraded us to a better Seaview Unit, which we really appreciated. It was our 4 th Anniversary. They also surprised us that evening with a bottle of Pink Rose Wine and Rose petals on our bed. Their Gift was a Great Blessing. We ll definitely be back in the future. Thank you so much Lord JesusGuest review byBertSouth Africa

Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. Also I would recommend the experience of swimming with the dolphins that is offered almost everywhere.Guest review byAnnaItaly - 10.0

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

this is amazing place, the view is breathtaking, the chalet is spacious, very calm, the food is satisfying and the staff is very supportive and helping. it is ideal for a short stay as if you would like to do more tours the location is bit far from everything and very challenging to reach. the best is to stay there and visit the nearby places around Chamarel.Guest review byDragicaUnited Arab Emirates - 2.0
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel.
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel. Financial exploitation defines the taxi drivers. Financial exploitation dominates the boat rental services. Financial exploitation extends even to the zoo. Exploitation is the main theme, and as a city, it offers nothing enjoyable.Guest review byMohamed Zaher - 10.0

Excellent location in an area that boasts greenery and nature at its best. Tamassa Bel Ombre is located next to two golf courses, a natural reserve and barely minutes away from other landmarks in Mauritius (south). Roads are safe - so it's easy to drive around but if you are after a complete relaxing holiday, venturing out of Tamassa is purely an extra then. The resort is fully equipped and offers a great opportunity for swimming, snorkeling, para-kiting in a well protected and clean bay.Guest review bySaidMalta - 6.0
La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly.
La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly. Le Morne (which is very close) is the only place nearby with a nice beach, but it is widely occupied by luxury hotels. another problem with La Gaulette is that it is not usable as a base for visiting Mauritius, becasue is far away from all main attractions except 7 color earth and Black River falls.Guest review byUgoBItaly - 8.0

There are a few beautiful sights to visit, the area is very green and full of trees and wildlife. The waterfalls, hills and seven colored soils are worth seeing. The Zoo is nice, but you have to pay to see the lions and a few other areas are additional cost over the entrance ticket you pay. There are many small restaurants to eat at where you can try the local cuisine. It is best to hire a car and drive around yourself or to get a taxi from your hotel. with the help of google maps it is very easy to get around. The roads are narrow and not many street lights so you have too be careful.Guest review byNamita - 6.0
Not a good hotel for winter visits.
Not a good hotel for winter visits. Best rooms face South so no sun until 4pm. Hotel was about 20% occupancy resulting in no "buzz", facilities open part time and food on buffet not consumed quickly enough to be fresh.Guest review byHarrySouth Africa - 10.0

I stayed here with my 3 kids, the kids club looked great although we didn't use it. We stayed for 3 nights and that was enough for us to break the city routine of our everyday life. Krishna from the concierge organised a fun day out to Chamarelle where we saw the 7 sand earth, giant turtles and the magnificent waterfall. We ended the day at Curious Corner which the kids (and I loved).Guest review byMonaUnited Arab Emirates
