Room well decorated, staff hospitality was awesome as the owner offered herself to drive us to the local restaurant in the first day because we had no car that day.
The pool area is very nice, breakfast was ok and the place is very calm.

Rodrigues island is undoubtedly a place for complete relaxation and disconnection. The complete opposite of the overcrowded Mauritius. Rare traffic, beautiful and quite secluded beaches (accessible on foot), no large holiday resorts, but with very friendly home-based accommodation.
We also had a shared dinner at the accommodation, which is ideal for even better bonding between the hosts and other guests in a very relaxed atmosphere.

unbelievably lovely host family. i was fully integrated into it. very delicious meals, absolutely authentic rodriguen, cooked with fresh ingredients from their own garden.
great view over the whole lagoon, not very far from mourouk beach and others.
will for sure check in again on one of the next trips to rodrigues

I always recommend Rodrigues island to everyone. I've been to Europe and Asia but my favourite destination remains Rodrigues. And the reason is it's authenticity. People in Rodrigues are very nice. Their good attitude and helpful nature is inspiring. They know how to enjoy life and live in peace, harmony and contentment. This makes them unique. I feel connected with nature and life when I'm there. Love to the island.
And I've had the best grilled fish of my life.. 😋

We were unfortunate with the weather during our 9 day stay.
We were unfortunate with the weather during our 9 day stay. Had a grade 4 cyclone which disallowed the water activities we were hoping for but didn't spoil our holiday but rather added some excitement. It made us look for other activities we could experience such as catching local buses, renting a scooter and doing lots of hikes along the coast line. Loved the noisy music on the buses and helpfulness of the ticket collectors to let us off at our named destinations. Even though English is apparently taught in schools we did struggle to make ourselves understood.
