- From $414.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,338 reviewsIt was better than we expected! All started even before the trip, in Booking messages where the staff asked more so they can prepare for us even better (our food limitations, date and time of arrival and departure, any preferences and requests, ...). When we arrived we were greeted by our lovely host Sony and she was our person to go to for any questions and requests. Each day you would get a message from her with the day's plan and program. The island is quite big and you can walk, see and use quite of facilities - few a la carte restaurants, beach bar, coffee shop, water sports, snorkeling point, gym, sauna and more. The food was really nice. We fell in love with the fresh fruits since e.g. that taste of pineapple you wont get anywhere (or other fruits). Quite of varierities in the food, while some were repeated but we loved it anyway so no problem for us. Regarding the fresh water you would get 1.5 litre of bottled water in every meal. We had full board so you can have at up to 4.5 litres of fresh water only from that. The rest was in our apartment where our lovely mister Pradeep filled every day during the apartment cleanup. We usually had 4 or 5 glass bottles (1 litre each) and this depends on your water consumption, but the thing is - it's included and not additionally charged. You can buy same bottled water you drink in the main restaurant but it is not really needed. I am writing about the water since I read quite of concerns in other resorts and islands. Back to mr Pradeep. Usually there are 2 cleanups in a day, but for us this was overkill so we decided with Pradeep to have only one. But he would clean your apartment twice if you ask him without any issues. Our request was mostly for clean towels, new fresh water and toiletries if needed. But you would get bed cleanup, floor in the apartment and outside along with the pool deck sweeping, along with other clothes folds if lying on bed.Guest review byMislavCroatia
- From $1,023.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,250 reviewsWe recently came back from what was easily one of our best family holidays. Everything was just perfect. Travelling with two picky eaters (our daughters, aged 10 and 4), we were a bit worried at first, but Chef Satya, Swami and Hemant at Malaafaiy completely put us at ease. They made sure the girls were fed and happy every day, even going out of their way to prepare food that wasn’t on the buffet. That kind of care meant a lot. Our room (687) was always spotless, thanks to Bina. She kept it looking immaculate and was always so friendly. Raail, our host, was fantastic attentive, helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We had wonderful meals at Maghrib too. Rohan made a big impression, always checking in and making sure we were comfortable and looked after. At The Olive, we had some lovely chats with Justin at the bar, who brought a personal touch to every interaction. Every staff member we met was kind, professional and welcoming. They truly made us feel at home. This was such a special trip for our family. We left with full hearts and unforgettable memories. We’re already hoping to come back soon. Thank you, Popi and Omphile are ready to come back.Guest review byBotseSouth Africa
- From $620 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,150 reviewsWe had an amazing time at Meeru! Even though we’ve been lucky enough to travel to some beautiful places, this truly felt like a dream vacation—absolutely spectacular. The resort has fantastic facilities, from a well-equipped gym to a tennis court, soccer field, and even padel. I spent more time exploring the island than in the gym though—walking around paradise is a workout in itself! The staff were wonderful, and both the buffet and à la carte restaurants were excellent. We were lucky to be upgraded from a beach villa to a water villa, and I have to say, it made a world of difference. If it’s within your budget, I’d definitely recommend splurging on a water villa or one with a private pool. We saw so many sharks and colorful fish right from our deck—it was magical. We also went for the all-inclusive option. Even though we’re not big drinkers, it felt worth it just for the peace of mind. Everything is priced in USD and things can get quite expensive, so it was nice not having to think about every meal or drink. All in all, an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!Guest review byLebogangNetherlands
- From $3,449.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 115 reviewsWe had an unforgettable stay at One&Only, and it was made even more special thanks to the incredible team who went above and beyond at every turn. Maricel at the souvenir shop was truly outstanding—warm, attentive, and proactive, she helped us find the perfect keepsakes with genuine care and thoughtful service. Eugene, our Villa Host, was simply the best. Always present yet never intrusive, he ensured everything flowed smoothly, from small comforts to special requests. But the true highlight of our trip was the dive experience with Mo. He brought the ocean to life, guiding us through exhilarating encounters with manta rays and reef sharks, and even helping us upgrade our PADI licenses to adventure dives. His passion, expertise, and calm presence underwater made it a memory we’ll carry forever. Every member of the One&Only staff contributed to the magic of our stay. From start to finish, we felt welcomed, cared for, and truly at home in paradise. Thank you all for the experience of a lifetime.Guest review byKrystlePhilippines

Great location! Very amazing facility- ( amazing staff: very responsive, professional, polite and respectful, very friendly …). The rooms are great, very clean, spacious, it feels like home. The food is very nice. The beaches are amazing and the resort has multiple recreation options. Kids have never been bored, different playing facilities are available. Overall we are highly satisfied with our stay and would like to say thank you to the management and staff. Keep it up.Guest review byMuderis AbdualhiIndia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 129 reviewsEverything was just perfect, right from the beginning until the last second. The team made our honeymoon an unforgettable one, starting from our Mrs. Friday (Jaisha) to Hafeez, Ahmet and everyone who supported us. The facility was unreal, everything was customized for us (even the food menu had our names on it). Food was spot on, every night had a different theme and I honestly cant describe how good it was. We had the best time so far and honestly Gili raised the bar way too high, we will definitely be celebrating one anniversary there.Guest review byMohammadSaudi Arabia
- From $641.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 239 reviewsI checked so many hotels before going to Maldives and most of them were quiet far and overpriced. Transfer from airport cost more than the actual price you pay for one night stay. But Adaaran Club Rannalhi was the only hotel I came across with reasonable price for transferring from airport to the hotel. Only cost me 160 dollars by ferry both ways.Guest review byFathima HaiqaSri Lanka

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement. The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)! Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!). I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive! Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus. Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!Guest review byLaurenL97United Kingdom - 8.0

It is a really peaceful island with a really nice beach. Beach has almost that resort level quality to it. Island is small, so besides water activities or some excursions, there is not much to do, so for some travelers it might get boring.Guest review byVladimirSerbia - 10.0

Guraidhoo - ferry every day and easy to reach from Male, not so busy yet, not yet ugly concrete big buildings, bikini beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. White soft sand with turquoise warm water and sandy shore for fantastic swimming and walking on the sandbar - great for kids too, sunbeds and good cafe on the beach, there are corals and ship wreck for snorkeling and not to forget the shark feeding place - simply amazing to watch sharks and rays - great entertainment for the evening. There are great restaurants with fantastic prices. This island is amazing choice !Guest review byDarinaSlovakia - 6.0

We only had 4 days and picked Huraa because it is close to the airport. A very bad choice. The island is absolutely not nice, full of trash, nothing is taken care of, even the bikini beach was a huge disappointment, dirty, broken sunbeds, only 6 umbrellas. No cafes, restaurants anywhere. The only nice place on the entire island is the Pearl Sands. It is a hotel, but you can pay a daypass to use their beautiful private beach including a very a good lunch. That place saved our vacation.Guest review byanitaGermany
