PakistanThe staff was amazing. The owners of the guest house were so friendly and accommodating. They helped us with everything and even made a local dish for us for lunch one day and didn't even charge us anything for it. The rooms were so clean and the bathroom was spacious. The whole aura of the guest house was beautiful and safe. It was near the beach also, hardly 2 mins walk. I would definitely recommend other people to stay here as it gave us great value for money.

Meeru Island resort is definitely the best hotel we ever stayed in. It was our first time on Maldives and we experienced it as a little heaven. The resort is located at about 45-60 min on the speedboat from the Male international airport. The staff met us at the airport and we were welcomed with water. Then at the reception we had an amazing welcome from the staff, the check in was automatically made while we enjoyed their welcome cold tea, then on a buggy you can get directly to the bungalow, the suitcases were brought separately from the staff. The bungalow was very cozy decorate in a tropical atmosphere, very clean - they cleaned it twice daily. On the porch we could enjoy the ocean under the umbrella or you could move the other two sun beds into the sun. The water entrance was so calm and beautiful, the water very transparent and a lot of fish, even some small sharks could be seen, but they are not at all aggressive. It was interesting to enjoy the shower outside, there was also a jacuzzi, though we did not use it. On this island there is only one resort and we can really enjoy an intimate atmosphere. There are 2 big restaurants and 4 smaller ones a la carte available with reservation. But for the all inclusive packages everything was included, all restaurants - the food is very tasty and varied - each day different cuisine at the big restaurants, approximatively all drinks - including a selection of cocktails, juices, spirits, wines and also the drinks from the mini bar inside the bungalow which were daily added, also the package includes daily snorkeling to the local reef on a separate boat - you only have to rent the equipment if you do not have your own - but we went also directly in front of our beach - there were also a lot of smaller fishes and young corals, on another part of the beach we also could admire some manta rays. The staff is very friendly and professional and really trying to make your stay unforgettable.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel like VIPs throughout our entire stay.
The customer service at this hotel is truly exceptional. When inclement weather prevented us from visiting the nearby islands on our scheduled day, the staff went above and beyond to make alternative arrangements. They quickly secured a hotel just a short five-minute drive from the airport and promptly rescheduled our flights when we expressed concerns about the revised departure time. . Their thoughtfulness and efficiency in handling the situation were truly commendable.
The way the staff empathized with our disappointment at losing a day on the island soothes our disappointed hearts! They wasted no time in offering us an upgrade and special perks to compensate for the unforeseen circumstances. Their genuine concern and effort to make things right instantly turned our disappointment into excitement.
Once we arrived on the island, we were greeted by a team of enthusiastic staff members who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their beaming smiles and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of joy to our vacation. It was evident that they genuinely cared about ensuring we had a memorable and enjoyable time.
Throughout our stay, our assigned gem, Hamzath, proved to be a true gem indeed. He took great care of us, ensuring our every need was met. Hamzath went above and beyond to curate unforgettable dining experiences for us, recommending the finest restaurants and providing personalized attention. It was clear that he took immense pride in his work and genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience.
The natural beauty of the island was simply breathtaking. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant colors of the surrounding ocean were truly mesmerizing. We were thrilled to discover that we could easily indulge in snorkeling right from our room.

visiting the Maldives is a dream for anyone and I knew that the ayada maldives resort would go beyond that dream. Since I made the reservation a year ago and started contacting the hotel, I noticed the difference. Highly qualified staff to provide our adventure with a unique experience. From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … our choice was the best possible !! Ayada surprised us … she welcomed us and conquered us … she deserves all the accolades of the best hotel in the Maldives in all aspects !!! thank you for the wonderful week you have given us. Fantastic stay at Sun Siyam, we are very happy we chose this hotel, in my view it should be 5*. We came family with 2 kids and booked their water villas with pool, we loved the villa and its amenities with a splendid view on the ocean.
Staff is so friendly and make you feel at home, a big thank you to Hanane and Adam at the reception and the cleaning team at our Room.
They also have so many activities to do, we took the floating breakfast, water activities, dolphin boat tour, snorkeling and we loved it, the team there at the water activities are friendly as well. thanks to Zayn

Amazing landscapes, delicious food (each day would bring sth new), wonderful, always smiled and ready to help people, reef near the hotel (colourful fish, turtles, sharks and mantas). Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed each day, trip from/to the aiport organized, so just after leaving Arrivals Zone at the airport we were taken care of. Lizzards, bats, tropical birds and a hen ;). No need to wear shoes while walking on the island. No crowds, peace and quiet. Would love to come back there one day....

Wonderful island and hotel. My kids left in tears. They said that this was the best hotel they had been to.

An interesting place. Mostly pleasant people. Uneven pavements, loads of motorbikes parked make walking difficult too. Somewhat improved over the last few years. Currently (November 2025) many public facilities closed and sitting down anywhere is clearly not encouraged.

There are plenty of water activities and options to choose from. The people are very friendly, and I felt extremely safe throughout my stay. The only downside is that evenings are very quiet, with limited nightlife or entertainment.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

It’s a nice local island.
It’s a nice local island. It’s clearly very popular, as there are at least four new hotels currently under construction. In the future, the place may lose its local atmosphere and become very touristy. The grocery shops offer only a limited selection of goods, not like what we’re used to in Europe.

The sand bank and bikini beach were beautiful. Nice that US dollars are accepted but annoying that the $ needs to be pristine. Request speed boat for whale shark excursion. Nice variety of restaurants.

The people that work there in the island are very genuine...
The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.
