- From $620 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,150 reviewsMeeru Island resort is definitely the best hotel we ever stayed in. It was our first time on Maldives and we experienced it as a little heaven. The resort is located at about 45-60 min on the speedboat from the Male international airport. The staff met us at the airport and we were welcomed with water. Then at the reception we had an amazing welcome from the staff, the check in was automatically made while we enjoyed their welcome cold tea, then on a buggy you can get directly to the bungalow, the suitcases were brought separately from the staff. The bungalow was very cozy decorate in a tropical atmosphere, very clean - they cleaned it twice daily. On the porch we could enjoy the ocean under the umbrella or you could move the other two sun beds into the sun. The water entrance was so calm and beautiful, the water very transparent and a lot of fish, even some small sharks could be seen, but they are not at all aggressive. It was interesting to enjoy the shower outside, there was also a jacuzzi, though we did not use it. On this island there is only one resort and we can really enjoy an intimate atmosphere. There are 2 big restaurants and 4 smaller ones a la carte available with reservation. But for the all inclusive packages everything was included, all restaurants - the food is very tasty and varied - each day different cuisine at the big restaurants, approximatively all drinks - including a selection of cocktails, juices, spirits, wines and also the drinks from the mini bar inside the bungalow which were daily added, also the package includes daily snorkeling to the local reef on a separate boat - you only have to rent the equipment if you do not have your own - but we went also directly in front of our beach - there were also a lot of smaller fishes and young corals, on another part of the beach we also could admire some manta rays. The staff is very friendly and professional and really trying to make your stay unforgettable.Guest review byIrinaAustria
- From $1,055.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 54 reviewsvisiting the Maldives is a dream for anyone and I knew that the ayada maldives resort would go beyond that dream. Since I made the reservation a year ago and started contacting the hotel, I noticed the difference. Highly qualified staff to provide our adventure with a unique experience. From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … our choice was the best possible !! Ayada surprised us … she welcomed us and conquered us … she deserves all the accolades of the best hotel in the Maldives in all aspects !!! thank you for the wonderful week you have given us. Thank you Lizah for your attention, thank you Iqu … it was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you Maldives !!!Guest review byGilberUnited States
- From $3,449.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 115 reviewsWe had an unforgettable stay at One&Only, and it was made even more special thanks to the incredible team who went above and beyond at every turn. Maricel at the souvenir shop was truly outstanding—warm, attentive, and proactive, she helped us find the perfect keepsakes with genuine care and thoughtful service. Eugene, our Villa Host, was simply the best. Always present yet never intrusive, he ensured everything flowed smoothly, from small comforts to special requests. But the true highlight of our trip was the dive experience with Mo. He brought the ocean to life, guiding us through exhilarating encounters with manta rays and reef sharks, and even helping us upgrade our PADI licenses to adventure dives. His passion, expertise, and calm presence underwater made it a memory we’ll carry forever. Every member of the One&Only staff contributed to the magic of our stay. From start to finish, we felt welcomed, cared for, and truly at home in paradise. Thank you all for the experience of a lifetime.Guest review byKrystlePhilippines

His attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care made my stay truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the impeccable service and the beautiful surroundings. Every interaction with the team, including Joodh, was not only professional but also incredibly welcoming. His dedication to ensuring that guests have a memorable experience is truly commendable. Thanking him for going above and beyond to make my time at the hotel so special. - From $876.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 200 reviewsSuch a beautiful place it is literally paradise. We went on our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been better. From the service to the food to the drinks all of it was amazing I definitely recommend all inclusive because the cost can really add up if you’re spending out-of-pocket so I’m really happy we went with all inclusive option . Also the romantic pool villas are not as nice as the other overwater villas even though they’re more expensive. The standard overwater villas are in a nicer part of the island and the rooms are much nicer we had the privilege to stay at both but preferred the overwater villas without a pool. Besides, you don’t really need a pool when you’re on the Indian Ocean .Guest review byBintzAlbania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 43 reviewsExcellent hotel for families with children. A large area overgrown with jungle, the villas on the beach where we stayed are located at a great distance from each other, providing privacy. Delicious and varied food, large and well-made common areas of the hotel (restaurants, shops, diving center etc, I would like to separately mention the "ice-cream bar" with a huge selection of their own delicious ice cream) a stunningly beautiful reef for diving and snorkeling. Very attentive friendly and polite staff - I would especially like to highlight and thank our butler Ainur - who made our stay very rich, interesting and carefree.Guest review byAlexandrKazakhstan
- From $641.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 239 reviewsI checked so many hotels before going to Maldives and most of them were quiet far and overpriced. Transfer from airport cost more than the actual price you pay for one night stay. But Adaaran Club Rannalhi was the only hotel I came across with reasonable price for transferring from airport to the hotel. Only cost me 160 dollars by ferry both ways.Guest review byFathima HaiqaSri Lanka

One day is plenty.
One day is plenty. You can walk to the main square and all the main sights in one day. Entry to mosques is limited to certain times of the day (1-2) hour window so plan accordingly. Food/drink is fairly pricey and allow for 10% service charge and 17% Tax on published prices. Most places price in USD but will convert to local currency (at the prevailing exchange rate).Guest review byGwyn PryceAustralia - 10.0

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach,...
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.Guest review byHanaCzech Republic - 10.0
We liked almost everything.
We liked almost everything. Our vacation was relaxing and beautiful. The beach was perfect, with soft almost white sand and warm, clear blue water. The bungalow was was really cozy with sun set view. Snorkeling we saw sharks, turtles, so many amazing small fishes. And they were almost near our place. We had wonderful neighbors and made new friendships.Guest review byDaniela AntonovaSpain - 10.0

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.Guest review byMaureenCanada
