- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 41 reviewsFrom the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel like VIPs throughout our entire stay. The customer service at this hotel is truly exceptional. When inclement weather prevented us from visiting the nearby islands on our scheduled day, the staff went above and beyond to make alternative arrangements. They quickly secured a hotel just a short five-minute drive from the airport and promptly rescheduled our flights when we expressed concerns about the revised departure time. . Their thoughtfulness and efficiency in handling the situation were truly commendable. The way the staff empathized with our disappointment at losing a day on the island soothes our disappointed hearts! They wasted no time in offering us an upgrade and special perks to compensate for the unforeseen circumstances. Their genuine concern and effort to make things right instantly turned our disappointment into excitement. Once we arrived on the island, we were greeted by a team of enthusiastic staff members who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their beaming smiles and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of joy to our vacation. It was evident that they genuinely cared about ensuring we had a memorable and enjoyable time. Throughout our stay, our assigned gem, Hamzath, proved to be a true gem indeed. He took great care of us, ensuring our every need was met. Hamzath went above and beyond to curate unforgettable dining experiences for us, recommending the finest restaurants and providing personalized attention. It was clear that he took immense pride in his work and genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience. The natural beauty of the island was simply breathtaking. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant colors of the surrounding ocean were truly mesmerizing. We were thrilled to discover that we could easily indulge in snorkeling right from our room.Guest review byImaUnited Arab Emirates
- From $797.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 691 reviewsMy recent trip to Kuramathi was nothing short of extraordinary—an absolute paradise on earth! From the moment I arrived, I was in awe of the crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand, and the vibrant marine life just waiting to be explored. The island has an almost magical tranquility, where every sunset felt like a painting and every morning greeted me with the serene sound of waves gently lapping the shore. The resort was a true luxury experience. Our overwater bungalow offered breathtaking views of the endless horizon. The room was incredibly spacious, stylishly designed, and equipped with everything I could need for comfort. Every detail, from the luxurious bedding to the state-of-the-art amenities, made me feel relaxed. The activities were a dream come true! I spent my days snorkeling in the calm blue waters. The Maldives is a haven for underwater exploration, and I was able to see marine life that I had only seen in documentaries. The private beach dinners under the stars and the decadent spa treatments completed the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. What really stood out was the warmth and hospitality of the Maldivian people. From the welcoming smiles of the staff to the personalized service, I felt like I was treated like family throughout my entire stay. Whether it was the exquisite food or the seamless planning of excursions, everything exceeded my expectations. Leaving the Kuramathi was bittersweet—I was rejuvenated, but I didn’t want the magic to end. If you’re looking for an unforgettable escape to paradise, then Kuramathi is the place to go. I can’t wait to return and create more lifelong memories.Guest review byDeanUnited Kingdom

- From $1,055.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 53 reviewsvisiting the Maldives is a dream for anyone and I knew that the ayada maldives resort would go beyond that dream. Since I made the reservation a year ago and started contacting the hotel, I noticed the difference. Highly qualified staff to provide our adventure with a unique experience. From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … our choice was the best possible !! Ayada surprised us … she welcomed us and conquered us … she deserves all the accolades of the best hotel in the Maldives in all aspects !!! thank you for the wonderful week you have given us. Thank you Lizah for your attention, thank you Iqu … it was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you Maldives !!!Guest review byGilberUnited States
- From $850.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,263 reviewsThe grand water villa was amazing, beautiful view, very spatious, nice deck. The whole staff at the resort was nice and caring , from the people working in the buffet restaurant to our villa attendent Alamin who was absolutely great! He provided us everything we needed, including water, towels and toiletry. He even decorated our room with animal towels and nice messages! The beach was splendid! Its powder white sand and the blue water made us fell in love with this place forever! The food buffet was realy good, it had all kind of delicious options from different cuisines. Also, the bar had good cocktails and complementary infused water! The couple massage we had was very relaxing! Our masseuses Nydia and Rada were amazing! We also liked the grounds, not only that they were well kept, but also it looked very tropical and lush. I have to mention the great free snorkeling we did every day at the Dive Center or the other two spots on site! We saw eagle rays, sting rays, manta rays, turtles, all kind of colorful fish and even sharks! We definitely recommend Sun Syiam Olhuveli as one of the best vacation spots we've been to! As my wife said that is truly a piece of paradise!Guest review byRomeoRomania

Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed each day, trip from/to the aiport organized, so just after leaving Arrivals Zone at the airport we were taken care of. Lizzards, bats, tropical birds and a hen ;). No need to wear shoes while walking on the island. No crowds, peace and quiet. Would love to come back there one day....Guest review byEwelinaPoland

The food was absolutely delicious, and a special thanks to Chef KRISNA for his excellent preparations and the personal touch he added to our dining experience. The service staff was also exceptional—very courteous and attentive special thanks to JUSICA . The only drawback was the poor Wi-Fi connectivity, which could definitely be improved. Other than that, everything was great, and we truly enjoyed our time here.Guest review byKashishIndia

I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home. As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday. However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours. He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 10.0

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0

I absolutely would return!
I absolutely would return! After the fact I was told this was a Russian resort but we interacted with a variety of guests during our visit. Our neighbors were guests 20 years ago and returned with two children. They were having an absolute ball. I loved the swim up bar at the pool - and the fact it was at the opposite end (along with a divider) from the children's area. Super attentive and friendly staff, great meals, I didn't tire of the options at the buffet. The a la carte restaurant was lovely too. We did the all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. Great chill vibe and overall a fun place to relax and play.Guest review byHollie - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.Guest review byMaureenCanada - 10.0
The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life.
The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.Guest review byAmauryBrazil
